When the late Glenn Pendlay said once....the moment the barbell makes hip contact your feet move into the receiving position... That cue was everything for me as it improved my timing and speed.

Its good for some and really bad for others. For example, it could cut your extension if you use a chinese style 2nd pull

Any tips on actual weight progression? I've been stuck doing 30-40 kgs for months, just to get the technique down. I think I have it pretty good at 30, but wobbly at 40. Do I just keep doing reps like these or should I push myself more? Perhaps just doing these drills with 50-60?

Ok,can I please get advised on why I can clean 315 for a double at 173lb body weight but I can’t do 190 from a hang on snatch? Every time I do snatch I literally HAVE to use straps. I can strap snatch 245+ depending on day. My hands are pretty small in size and once I get to the wide grip of snatch I simply can’t hold it and it drives me bonkers because like I said I can clean 315 for a double. I just try to tell myself that straps really aren’t that big of a deal because I’m working power and explosively but still it erks me. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I recently felt like I improved my snatch slightly by starting my feet a bit wider than my clean and jerk (maybe 2-4" wider). It reduces how far they have to jump out. Is that common for snatch stance to be a bit wider than clean and jerk?
