Do you have a recipe for the soup? It sounds delicious!😊
@paulinanowak343514 күн бұрын
@@ErdriedDeirdre I'm from Poland and I can give you one :) In order to make this soup you need to prepere fermented beet juice. To make one you take 500g of beet beet cut them into cubes, 5 cloves of garlic, few peas of allspice and Pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt and 350 ml of water and you add everything to the jar. You add a water just to cover everything and leave it for 7-10 days . You have to make sure that everthing is under the water because otherwise it will get moldy. There are even silicon gadgets availeble that can help to prevent that. Everything should be COMPlETLY under the water. Now if you've finally get fermented beet juice: 1. Fry 2-3 cube- chopped potatoes until they are slightly golden 2. Add 1,5- 2 l of vegetable or chicken broth 3. Add chopped beet with leafs, but only red part (Save the green parts for later) and cook for 15 min or until vegetables are soft. 4. Add your fermented beet juice. You need to get rid of insipidy, because without this sourness this soup is completly uneatable. You also add green parts of beet leaves, and salt to taste you can also add just a little bit of sugar and citric acid, if necessery. Cook for 1 more minute. Now you add heavy cream. A lot of :) your soup can get curdled so you must take a bit of soup and mix it with heavy cream before you add it to the whole soup. You can also add chopped dill if you like. Sorry if my recipe is't clear. If you have any questions let me know.

One of the best meals I had ever had was on a cruise ship, serving beef stroganoff (favorite food, period), but instead of egg noodles, there were noodle-ized beets. I had no clue if they were spiralized, or mixed into a pasta dough, or made into a paste with some sort of binder and pushed through a mold to make honest to goodness beet noodles. Either way, the super salty beef and sauce with the sweet noodles was unreal, and made such a striking plate to boot! That cruise was easily 15-ish years ago, but I remember that one dish more than even the locations I went to!

Costa Rican here. My family does ensalada rusa by finely chopping onion and cilantro, toss in white vinegar for like 10-20 minutes, dice the beet and some boiled eggs (about 50/50), then mix everything together. Add mayonnaise and salt to taste. Most people add diced cooked potatoes as well, but I find it mutes the favor profile so I skip that

You can make a delicious egg with the stems. First you dice an onion and saute it with much olive oil. Then add the chopped up stems and leave the tender leafs for the end add them after the stems are softened. Add salt, pepper and chili flakes. Then beat up 2-3 eggs and add it to the pan mix a bit and add 2-3 eggs to the pan without beating. Turn the heat to lowest and put on a lid. After the whites are cooked and the yolks are runny take it off the heat. Add more chili flakes salt and pepper on top for the eggs. Maybe a chili crisp oil. Then enjoy it with a bit of toast or better yet turkish pide bread. I love using spinach the same way as well. With a bit of plain yogurt this is the best breakfast, lunch or dinner 💕
