I’m 24 and need full coverage because I’m financing my car which is understandable. I have 1 minor accident on my record (broken headlight) and I can’t find anything less than $400 a month. And if I do find something for $350 it has a $1000+ sign up fee. Complete bullshit, car insurance is such a god damn scam and it’s so stressful and unnecessarily expensive. How can it possibly cost $400? As if hundreds of thousands of people paying hundreds of dollars a month for car and home insurance doesn’t pay them enough. The United States right now is experiencing big corporate greed price gouging at an uncontrollable rate to the point I think everyone is fed up it’s unaffordable to have even the most basic necessities. Basic things like Gas, Groceries, entertainment and car repairs are INSANELY EXPENSIVE. For the normal brake service on my Hyundai now costs $1300 where back in 2019 it was $650. I’m really starting to think there has to be better palaces to live… has to be.

I,m with Allstate, I was promised my rate would not go up (I pay every 6 month) a year and a half later, it has gone up by 185.17. Monthly it has gone up by $30.86. My credit is nearly perfect have not had any tickets nore any accidents in past 5 years. So I'm definitely going to shop around because it's ridiculous how it's gone up nearly double of what I was paying a year and a half ago. Also I don't even have full coverage..

USAA has changed so drastically since Wayne Peacock took over, I would never recommend them to anyone now. In fact, after 25 years with them, I dropped my property insurance and am looking for a new auto insurer as we speak. I filed my first claim in 24 years and they haven't paid me a single dollar. That is not "insurance". Worse still, it wasn't me or anything in my condo that caused the issue, it was the neighbor's HVAC unit that had the blocked condensation line. USAA did everything they could to obstruct, deny, delay, to do their job, and not pay. Please look at all the thousands and thousands of complaints lodged against USAA, not only by those they insure but also by those who've been victimized by someone they insure and have not had their claims paid. USAA has been in a FULL COURT PRESS in advertising for a few years now (since Peacock took over). As soon as I find a new insurer, I am cutting all ties with them. I've never dealt with such intentionally nefarious, dishonest claims agents and supervisors in my life. I straight-up called them sociopaths on the phone. The supervisor actually seems to enjoy...and I mean laughing at...how she harms others. All you have to do is read the reviews for USAA on Google, or Yelp and you will see people say the same thing over, and over, and over again about what they put people through.

Geico keeps going up too. every 6 months another $100,00. I had to raise my deductible to $2500 this time to get it down $50.00. Removed the underinsured last time. I ask them what in the world. They said more and more people are going uninsured and accidents are still happening. That's why the rates are going up we the insured have to pay. :(

There is not chip insurance no matter where you turn. As I've read many comments I came to conclusion that no matter how good of a driver you are it does not count anymore even if you don't have any traffic violations The insurance companies looks to suck as much as they can from people,and they are connected with the gov. to obligate you to buy it no matter the price. They can charge you whatever they want. I used to live in Nashua N.H. and there you don't have to have insurance if your car is paid than I moved to Georgia. Here you can have basic liability, but even so my insurance went up every 6 Mnt. I am totally responsible they don't cover nothing yet I have to pay them $ 330 for 6 mts for nothing just a piece of paper to be able to go on the road. They make big profit in this time more than ever.

Look up a company called LexisNexis- They offer a consumer report you can get. It is also with your insurance. Your current insurance company runs this report and are required to disclose any reports and ratings when they sell you your policy. It will be listed in the binder they give you.
