Yeah more Stevie Ray👏🙌🎸🎶‼️. Even though he played with heavy strings they were no match for his hand strength and passionate playing. He broke a lot of strings so his tech crew had lots of practice switching out onstage. They were as finely tuned as a race car pit crew. I'm sure other commenters have already recommended Life Without You at the Capitol Theatre 1985. It has a guitar switch, a great message from Stevie and other surprises for you. Won't be blocked..99% of his videos aren't blocked just sometimes the real popular ones from El MaCambo. Thanks for circling back to Stevie Ray! It is an awesome musical magic carpet ride💯

Thanks for another SRV reaction! Stevie and his band (Tommy Shannon on bass and Chris Layton on drums) added the keyboardist ( Reese Wynans) to the group in '86. There are many great videos of SRV playing live, including from this performance at the Austin City Limits venue (I especially like "Caught in the Crossfire" and his rendition of Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Child" from this concert). Keep SRV coming - love it!

Kathy here - yes this is music for the soul! The piano player Weese Wynans is still playing to this day and is one of the few keyboard players that can play so proficiently with 5 fingers. And Stevie Ray, what can I say about him!! That was one of the smoothest guitar changes I have ever seen. And the only way he was "seamless" was because of the crew that he had. They knew how to respond to just his looks and nods. Thanks for the review!

The guitar switch was nice, but Stevie actually re-recorded a couple notes he missed before this was aired on tv. If you look close you can see there were notes you can hear that he clearly didn't play, right after he put the new guitar on.
