This reminds me of when my buddy first became a father. Since high school, all he talked about was owning this awesome Kawasaki racing bike and 1 year after high school, he saved up to get it. Went with him to buy it so I could drive his car back. Upon finding out he was going to be a father, one of the first major things he did was; sold his bike to pay hospital bills and to prepare for his son. Sometimes, people don't realize what parents give up for kids. It may seem small to some, but a dream is a dream.

Same thing happened to me but quite differently. I had a 90s mustang Gt that was my project, a few months before my daughter was born it started getting having coolant problems. And coincidentally the day before she was born I sold it because it blew a head gasket. I knew it was a sign to let someone else take care of it because I would have someone to care for.

I always see myself on Eric because of this scene. My dad is big and scary with his tattoos, but he had a fight with my mom one day and she was really sad and upset while my father, proud as he was of himself, wouldn’t admit his mistake. I went up to him and said almost like the same thing Eric did. My legs were shaking lol. I was 17 back then. He never talked back to me…it was like an opportunity he gave me to be a man and stand up to myself.

There are a bunch of different types of baldness but the most common is DHT sensitive induced thinning. This is 100% proven to be passed by the mother onto their sons. It's why finasteride and Rogaine are so commonly prescribed. Its why sons should look at their mothers father/brothers to see if they're at risk of balding.

Am I the only one who ever noticed that the relationship between Red & Eric Foreman very much mirrors the relationship between Cotton & Hank Hill? Cotton & Red are both war veterans (Cotton must’ve been a U.S. Marine who was deployed to Iwo Jima & Red Foreman was in the Korean Conflict, I’m unaware if his military background was ever further explored…) my grandfather was in both… he was a Corporal in the US Marines when WWII ended & a Captain First Class either when Korea ended or at least when he retired from the US Marines…
@bad74maverick1
@bad74maverick1 2 жыл бұрын
There is no Captain first class.... At all in the US military especially the Marines. Just Captain in the Marine Corps. It's 1stLt O-2, Then Capt O-3 then, Maj O-4. There is a First Captain, but that's Army and it pertains to the highest ranking cadet officer of a cadet corps or a military school. Might want to do a little further research.

Idk. I never took Red and Eric’s relationship as that strained. I saw it as merely a father and son who don’t understand each other. But it was shown repeatedly that Red cherished his son. On the other hand you had Cotton Hill who named his second child GH just to spite his elder son. Also wasted his dying breath on trying to out petty his daughter in law. Yeah no I definitely don’t see it now. Red may have been a hard ass but he gave a damn about his son. Cotton’s bad moments far outshines his softer ones with Hank or Bobby. Once That 90’s Show comes out and we see Red as a grandfather I’m sure he’ll be better than Cotton at that too.

The issue with this season was that the rebellion against red all seemed to happen without a gradual process. This is also the season Hyde grew a beard and in the same episode Hyde talks trash about Red to Reds face and Red didn't really react as he normally would.. this was eventually to be expected as time went on and everyone got older but without giving it a process it seemed very forced... I get it's not really a serious show, I personally would have appreciated the character growth more if it didn't play out the way it did. They could have had this scene with Eric and his dad and it would have shown to be the start of such process... but having the same episode have Hyde talk trash to Red without any reaction seemed like there was missing character growth that should have been shown near the end of season 4.

Remember, we didn't see them for a whole summer when Hyde was alone at the Foremans.

A thought occurred to me when I saw this in my recommendations, Eric’s skinniness might have also come from Kitty smoking during his pregnancy.
