That was kinda hilarious 😁 Although if you watch carefully, none of the bikers said that to her - or none of the bikers in that shot anyway, and she most likely didn't reply then either (she's got her back to the camera the whole time). So that exchange happened at some other point but they dub it over that part because it looks better / funnier. The visual and sound editing on these shows are crazy, almost every cut-away or reaction you see is from a totally different time or sequence, and it's just all stitched together in a totally non-linear mess, but it works!

@melt_brain
@melt_brain 4 ай бұрын
@@yongobongosope that's the problem, though. to the security cameras and other bar owners, your tips being in the same drawer as your cash from customers makes it look very suspicious and is 100% stealing. you need your tips to be kept somewhere separate, or you'll almost guarantee yourself taking more money than you claim you had in tips. that's what jon was getting at. if your tip money is in the same drawer as your customer's money, there's almost clear incentive to steal more than you were given in tips. technically, they did steal, because the grandkids, as well as the parents and jon cannot confirm how much money they made EXACTLY in tips. they could take less or more, and it's still considered theft. the other bartenders that got fired? one hundred percent wrong. instead of them being taught, they were thrown out without a second chance. keep in mind, they were only working there because THE BROTHER DATED THEM! they didn't know what they were doing, and they were never taught. jon, the grandkids, the grandmother, all of them were in the wrong except for melody and jana. that was absolutely cruel and completely incorrect. they didn't know what they were doing, and instead of jon keeping them and teaching them how to pour correctly, he kicks them out. jana didn't even know the ingredients for a margarita! how is she expected to know how much to pour if she can't even figure out what ingredients go in what?! i think the grandkids are manipulative and deceitful. i wouldn't be surprised if the brother has a sexual harassment charge, considering how many women he sleeps with according to jana. this is completely backwards. it's awful. jon was just as wrong for this.

@A B But they’d have video evidence of him threatening to “rob the place.” That’s probable cause, reason for said robbery, and motive. More than enough for a judge to sign a search warrant or for a warrant to be issued. So no, he could definitely be held liable for criminal burglary, trespassing and damages. Plus, I’m sure there is other legal paperwork signed between the network and the owners/staff regarding legal matters if something like this were to happen. Remember, there was the episode with that bar in Iowa where Jon didn’t rescue it because the owner of said bar assaulted an employee and told another employee he’d give him a raise if he put the other employee through a window. Low and behold, that owner was convicted and sent to prison for sexual battery
@sprtsfanatic1
@sprtsfanatic1 3 жыл бұрын
@A B He might be an owner but he’s been relieved of his duties as manager and operational manager. He clearly still had money invested in the property but he doesn’t have a say anymore in how things operate. Again, him threatening the place, on record, is still grounds for criminal liability, if he were to follow-through on them.

That last clip was definitely the most heartwarming. That is true family right there. They fought over the inheritance, but after thinking about it and realizing they were acting like children for fighting over a building they made up. Honestly was such a tear jerking moment for me because that is how a family should be: loving each other no matter what. They had resentment towards each other for a while, but still made up in the end after realizing they had no real ill will about each other.
@caphowdy666
@caphowdy666 2 жыл бұрын
With the one with the dad (Pops) and his son and daugher, you can pretty much see who is destroying that business. None of the three are anywhere near perfect, but the daughter is poison. She goes on about giving people chances, but it's really all about surrounding herself with people she likes to feed her ego. Her dad knows what she is doing is wrong, and maybe his way of communicating lacks finesse, but you can only imagine what years of dealing with her has done to him mentally. He tells her what is wrong or tells people not to do something, and she goes off on him. As soon as Jon shouts at him, she gets all defensive of him (because she is the only one allowed to talk shit to him). Then there is her brother, he has just given up. Initially you think he has no balls, and is a bit of a coward but the more you watch his sister, the more you realise he has probably had a lifetime of putting up with her shit, and knows there is no way he would ever win challenging her. It's entirely possible that without her influence, father and son might have been able to make a go of this bar.
@EvelynL.1112
@EvelynL.1112 3 ай бұрын
EXACTLY, the daughter is easily the weak link of the three. She's a spoiled, self-entitled womanchild who deludes herself into thinking she's a nice person by giving everyone way too many chances. In reality, she just wants people to think of her that way to, as you said, feed her ego.

The first clip is an abusive relationship at work. How about calmly teaching this girl what and what not to do? There’s no need for yelling, she’s not someone’s verbal punching bag, she’s this guy’s sister! She deserves love and respect! Correcting her and teaching her will go way farther than constantly putting her down. This is a tactic in abuse to keep the abuse going btw. John was right and saw right through that brother. He was keeping her weak by not teaching her the tools to become a better employee. In turn he felt he could yell at her all he wanted. I hope she realizes now that she deserves better. And I also hope the parents realize they needed to see through his insecurities that he was projecting and not allow him to hurt anyone else because of it.

Of course she is six feet tall, benches 300 pounds and can lift a V8 engine out of a truck all by herself but she would still do it. A couple of bar owners in my area sweet talked her into being a bartender with no experience in the field, I think they hired her mainly as security but when she is not kicking people out of the bar she is tending it. They probably wish my other sister lived in the area -- she actually went to bartending school and doesn't need to look up how to make drinks in a book (admittedly I would be even worse, I don't know how to mix anything more complicated than a screwdriver -- I drank either those or whiskey on ice).

Love how protective Jon Taffer is toward the young lady in the first clip. He can see that her big brother is a certified bully (probably from childhood) and he calls him on the carpet for it and for his arrogant attitude when his bar is obviously going down the drain. He might yell to the point of foaming at the mouth and come across as a bully himself in some instances, but I love his take-no-BS approach coupled with temperance when warranted (Gordon Ramsay has the same approach and interestingly both men are Scorpios).

Just because someone had a problem with the DISEASE of addiction doesn't mean you get to treat them like shit forever. In fact it often keeps them from moving forward even when they're truly trying. It's a whole family issue, and if the whole family isn't willing to deal with it, how can you expect that single person to carry all that stress and actually get better?! Would you yell and put down someone who has cancer or constantly remind them once they were in remission?!. No?! Then don't do it to someone with addiction.

For the last one, inheritance can completely stop over 5 generations of a tight close family and destroy it and it's sad. It happened on my dad's side of the family and it's heart breaking and makes life more difficult. Thankfully on my mom's side when my grandpa passed away everyone was working together and said take what you want especially if it was special to you and whatever is left gets sold or if it's to important to sell someone will hold onto it. It's sad that more than likely inheritance breaks families instead of bringing them together

It can happen. I had one uncle that caused trouble when my grandmother died. I took care of my grandmother for nine years and paid out tens of thousands of dollars for her expenses. She left everything to me when she died (I had nothing to do with her making that choice in her will, I actually didn't know about it until she died) and it really pissed my uncle off to the point where he wouldn't even sign off on the funeral arrangements (he wasn't required to pay one penny, the funeral home was just protecting itself requiring all living offspring to sign off). That uncle was ostracized from the family for many years after my grandmother's funeral fiasco.
