I’m a Protestant who’s spiritually walking to Rome. Currently figuring out when to join y’all in the fullness of the church. (Prayers are obviously appreciated). Everything Dr. Marshall just said about Protestant anxiety and tension is so true. I didn’t feel a lot of that anxiety, but I know a lot of Protestants who do. I felt allllll the tension though, and in my journey to Catholicism so far I’ve started to realize how weird that is, and how antithetical that is to the unity Christ desired for His church.

This is very disturbing especially because at least 21 people have upvoted her. In TRUTH regarding the UNSEEN dominant SPIRIT behind both there is no difference between evangelicalism and roman catholicism because evangelicalism protestantism and ALL christianity as a religion is/are ROOTED in the anti christ spirit of roman catholicism, where the "god" of CONFUSION/satan/the enemy rules. I grew up a Protestant and am now Catholic. I remember saying to my parents that Mary is important because without her, we wouldn't have Jesus. So, I asked, how come Catholics consider Mary important and we don't care about her even though she gave birth to Jesus. I didn't argue with my parents, but neither could I agree with the answer they gave me: We just believe differently than they do.

The LORD JESUS never established or endorsed any religion. I was brought up strict roman catholic in a country where the occult was very much part of its practice. I can tell you with The LORD GOD as My Witness that the spirit behind roman catholicism is satan, who is the god of confusion. Anglican here from UK. I love our blessed mother! My father passed away at weekend. I prayed that Mary would be by his side with his mum and dad (my Grandad died when I was 4 so my dad had not seen his father in 42 years), to comfort and great him whilst passing over. The next time I was in church I just knew that this is what happened. I got home today after planning his funeral at the funeral directors to late to attend my church and the service celebrating the assumption of our blessed mother. so prayed the Glorious Rosary in thanks and gratitude for what our blessed mother did for him and the comfort she and our Lord and saviour has have me in these sad days 🙏

I was raised Catholic, and my mother always held a deep devotion to Our Lady. Granted, I fell away from the faith for many years, but I never once questioned the importance of and why we venerate The Blessed Virgin Mary. It wasn’t until I heard about the Protestant faith that I learned there were people who claimed to love Jesus but had an almost resentful view of his Mother. It was then that I truly realized how much the Reformation was the work of the devil. Our Lady, along with her chaste spouse St. Joseph are the terror of demons. This is why the devil wanted them out of the picture. He succeeded and he also stole from these poor, misled Protestant souls, the easiest path to Jesus.

I believe that in today's day and time, we do not truly understand how God the Father views purity, cleanliness, holiness, sinless hence The Immaculate Virgin Mary. Purity is becoming more difficult to find. This is humorous. I'm a catholic since 1978. Having been an Episcopal sister and when I left they told me that if I couldn't go to an Episcopal church so I started going to St. Alphonso catholic church. First reception of the Body, Blood, soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, I knew it was different from the Episcopal communion but didn't know why. Anyway, a catholic friend asked me what names did the Protestants believe were the brothers and sisters names. Out of my mouth came "Manny, Moe, and Jack," the autoparts store the Pep Brothers here in Baltimore ! 😊 Dr. Marshall, I watch everything on KZbin you post...so upbringing of my faith and invaluable information. I'm sorry you feel the way you do about the catholic church. My journey from Methodist to Baptist to Episcopal (I was an Episcopal sister) and then permanently Roman Catholic converting in 1978 less than month after John Paul II was elected pope. The Father loves ALL of us (even those who choose hell for themselves ) and " His mercy is over all his works!"

@@ginnygrafton3058 It is in ACTS 12:4. I have given you below the passage from the KJV. Other similar "christian" bibles, I believe, would have the same version. I put the word easter in caps. "And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after EASTER to bring him forth to the people."

@ktermalkut8332 sorry for being so long in replying to you comment about the kjv using the word Easter when it was not in common use at that time. As you know, the kjv was not the first version of the Bible in English...at least Wycliff and Tyndale were among the first English translations. The people who translated the kjv acted independently of King James himself. King James did not want a new translation but one that would reach more people synthesizing various Protestant denominations. The people who worked on the kjv translation , relied heavily on Tyndale wherein the word meaning Passover (pasche) and mistranslated it with Easter which is as you know, is a pagan religion. The proper translation from the Greek (I took one semester of Greek and found out that I was never going to learn Greek ...couldn't even remember the letters! I do, however, have the interlinear Greek New Testament comparing the Greek to the NIV and the KJV. This combined with the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and Vine's Expository dictionary, and now research on Google give me a starting place. I will quote the interlinear Greek and KJV for comparing. Acts 12:4...from the Greek it reads, starting with version 3b " arrest also Peter and they were the days of unleavened bread...intending after the PASSOVER to bring up him to the people. " The Feast of Unleavened Bread ...which continues from the last day of Passover (of the first month of the Jewish calendar) on for 7 days afterwards. I have been unable to find the Greek text which could be shared with KZbin. I spend a lot of time doing Bible research usually starting with an ordinary old Webster's dictionary using a main word from whatever subject I want to research; e.g. the word "bless" showed that it in Old English it had to do with a blood sacrifice...it got more interesting from there. Trying doing describing the rebuilding of the walls and gates to ready them for those of diaspora coming home. Pick a subject you want (1st one I did was on the Catholic ministry to anyone (not just the women) who has wounded by an abortion and it was amazing! Just write down the names og.the gates (start with 1st gate and proceed around adding in the names of those who actually rebuilding the gate and then the names of those who rebuild the walls and those who stood in the gaps to fend off anyone who would want to harm the builders of the walls. Marvelous exercise. A friend (a Catholic Sister, no less, showed me this and I've found it to be invaluable. As to Catholicism and all denominations being "dead" some may be and some night not be...God doesn't generally share the secrets he knows about any person We DO need a personal relationship with Jesus. If you had a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus...that's what it's about. The Catholic Church as an institution might well be dead ( we have a heretic pope, much corruption in the hierarchy down to the parish priests (though I think most are true to Catholic teaching...the pope excluded). But I am not dead either in my spirit and not in my faith! My relationship with Jesus has only deepened within the Catholic Church. I've never been so alive. I pray you find your own peace with God because you sound a tad defensive and you needn't be. If you were the only person throughout eternity who needed to be saved...he would have done it all just for you! Bless my friend 🧡.

God IS Perfect, and His mother IS too. The virgin Mary, chosen by God above all others...immaculate, without sin. Jesus loved His mother. A mother who birthed Him, walked with Him and knelt at the foot of the cross. Mary is a model for the world and her presence is an intercession. Mary freely cooperated with God in the work of human salvation starting with these words, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Catholic's believe Mary was assumed into heaven, body and soul, as Mary the most blessed Virgin, Was without sin. As the Angel Gabriel greeted "Hail full of Grace" you can't be in sin if you are full of grace. It means God gave special and extraordinary grace of being without original sin, Mary never committed a sin, and was always perfectly in union with the will of God. How could Mary carry the Christ Child, if sin was present, it was fitting that Mary was sinless, spotless and a Holy Virgin, God chose Mary. The Ark of the New Covenant, the greatest of God's creation, and the first and greatest disciple of Jesus. How can we not but honour the one chosen by God as the Mother of the Saviour of the world, and Our Blessed Lord Jesus, who is the Lord of our salvation. If God chose Mary to be Mother of Jesus, and at the foot of the cross, at the most significant moment, Jesus said to John 'Behold your Mother', and in so doing invited us to love Mary as mother as he loved her. We can be comforted by her motherly intercession and love. We praise and adore and glorify God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we honour Mary, and love her, and thank God for his goodness to us, and glorify him with our lives, giving thanks and praise at all time's for his great love and Mercy. Like Mary, do the will of the Father, surrender yourself to Jesus, and he will take care of everything 🙏 As Mary was sin less, it was fitting that Mary would not remain on earth at the end of her life, and was assumed by God into heavenly Glory, this is known as 'The Glorious Assumption into heaven'

you should understand that the new testament manuscripts were under the control of the roman catholic organization for centuries and there is clear evidence of corruption of the manuscripts like the mention of "easter" in Acts 12 when the writer of Acts would never have known of easter that was created by the roman catholic system almost 200 years AFTER the writer of Acts was alive. Go now! It's a ***million*** times easier now when they're little than when they get older and have been formed in the Novus Ordo. Truly my best advice is go now, as soon as possible. Plus there are a zillion other little kids at the TLM, with all their fussing and little noises. :) You can get some non-colored wax that kids can play with at Mass, or some soft toys/small books that they **only** get to play with at Mass. Have a few different sets of things to switch out from week to week. I found that a promise to kids who are a little bit older was **very** motivating... the rare treat of doughnuts after church ONLY IF they give 5-star behavior during Mass! I gave several updates of how they were doing during Mass so far, showing how many stars they were getting by showing them on my fingers (very dramatically, putting up one finger at a time!) -- they were absolutely riveted to see how they were doing. Always give them a chance to make up for any bad behavior and earn those stars back! :) God is merciful, and so are us parents... plus it makes the rest of the service go better! :) For older kids, the book "Treasure and Tradition: The Ultimate Guide to the Latin Mass" by Lisa Bergman is great. I would let them read it during Mass. I want to emphasize that the TLM is really no harder with little kids than the NOM is... it may even be easier because there's more "smells and bells," especially if you go to the sung Mass (definitely try to make it to the sung Mass if possible, but if you can't, don't worry about it!!). Oh, and try to get to Mass early to get a seat... TLMs are often standing-room only. Most of all, know that your kids are being formed by the TLM in the full Catholic tradition with total respect for Jesus in the Eucharist, and a love for beauty and good order (and big families, ha!). May God bless and guide you and your loved ones!

It was Emperor Leo III, the Syrian who enforced Iconoclasm, The Roman "Byzantine" Empire believed God was angry with them and was punishing them with defeats against the Arabian-Muslims. I'm a Catholic Christian, but I can't help but wonder how God allowed the Christians to lose so easily to the Muslims in the 7th century. But still, they lost so many battles against the Muslims.
