Tip: If you can make yourself look professional in something that is interesting enough (it can be anything from sports through music to foreign language learning/speaking), that is a huge advantage not only in romantic, but in any realitionship. Also, try to show interest in things your partner is interested in. If you don't care/know about it, that's fine, just ask questions about it like you want to get into it. That makes your partner feel like they can teach you about it and your field of interest is similar to thiers, wich can also initiate further conversations. I myself become quiet popular when my classmates found out that I play chess. I am not good at it, but know more about it than they do. I think people are just fond of things they don't know much about.

I always say getting in relationships is easy and it really doesn't take much for someone to say "Yes". The real challenge is maintaining the relationship. Don't be in such a hurry to be with someone just to avoid that familiar lonely silence when youre back home. Your intentions should always be "I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with this person.". You must be ready for commitment. And no, leaving when they mess up or don't quite live up to your standards isn't commitment; It's immature childishness.

This all makes sense to me very well and I am terrible at _flirting_ as I would understand it otherwise too. Someone once said to me that flirting is basically getting known and used to certain others, so I try to keep myself neutral and authentic to myself as much as I can. My issue is rather that I have so little social contacts and skills that I am probably in the _hard to get_ position even if I don't want to :,D Plus I actually find it hard to tell whether a woman is actually around my age or 10 years younger/older, make up, clothing and healthy lifestyles makes this partially more difficult, ngl.
@StanleySpadowski Жыл бұрын
I have that exact same thing with not being able to tell age! It sucks because I'm in my mid 20s, so I find it impossible to tell if a guy is over 18 or not. i believe it said to keep things positive for the first while. i know from experience that it's not that great when you start out by being totally honest about all of your feelings. i mean, if you're interested in someone, you want to stay on the bright side of things to attract them, right? later on, when you know each other better, it should be totally okay to share more actual feelings. there's this, like...small gray area of still being who you are but not being too negative for a while

@@Joenah5 I meant to write flirting skill, not dating skill. But since I have never been in a relationship this applies too I guess. The looks are a requirement for me. I won't date a woman I am not attracted to to at least some degree. But even though this is a contributing factor, it is not the one which I care the most. I can relate to your statement of having to know a woman before being interested. I want her to have an attractive character, I want her to share my core values and I want her to show signs of being interested in me. Also I want a bunch of children so she should not be over 30 at the point of marriage. So far I have not met a woman who fits all those requirements. What keeps me from flirting is #4. I don't see the point in flirting when I 'know' I'm somebody nobody will be attracted to anyway. Definitely not to my morbidly obese looks, and beyond that also not to my inability to hold any kind of entertaining conversations. I hno idea how smalltalk works, and I regularly notice that I have absolutely no clue what's going on in 80% - 90% of csses when people talk about their interests and hobbies.
@BRU-TALE Жыл бұрын
Seeing nobody answer you, i’ll do: i understand you feel what you write and it’s okay. BUT, you have a choice, i know maybe everyone said it to you, but it’s the truth. You have no clue? Try to understand, even only 1%, better than 0%. Listen to you, accept your emotions, change what you want to change. Will be difficult? Fucking yes. Some days you will feel miserable like you’re doing nothing? YES BUT when you get into the process, you will feel better -someone who before never spoke to people and now compliments random people I hope the message will pass not only trough you, but even to anybody that need to hear that.
@benrex7775 Жыл бұрын
What keeps me from flirting is that I don't know how it works and that I don't care to flirt with women I don't consider myself marrying. All those points from the video have nothing to do with flirting itself. As far as I can tell, those points apply to any social interaction you have, no matter if you are just a coworker or married. After watching this video I didn't get any insight into how flirting works at all. I obviously don't know how it feels like to be you. But I have some related experiences. A video that described a problem of mine quite well is _You are just the “Filler Friend”_ by HealthyGamerGG. I give out a low perceived interest towards others. So they never invite me to anything. And that is justified, as I actually want to spend a lot of time on my own. But just because I don't want to participate in 90% of activities doesn't mean I want to be alone all the time. One way I managed to solve that problem is by asking two people I got along with, if they want to do stuff with me every other Friday evening. Now I have a regular activity with people without the pressure of having to put a lot of my freetime into socializing. Another problem I have is that I think nobody cares about me. After all they don't invite me to stuff and I am no crucial part in making stuff work. But precisely because I don't think people care about my presence, I show up in irregular intervals and only if I feel like it. Let's say in the last year I had a few people mention that they value my presence (I'm 29 now). And not in that superficial way that people say to everyone to appear nice. My brain is completely not used to those statements. I may have rejected some honest statements of people telling me they value my presence because I don't see how I am a benefit to their life. It doesn't make it better that I find some of their favorite topics to talk about boring. So I often sit in a corner listing or being in my own thoughts. And when I contribute the topics feel not that interesting to me. And since I find it not that engaging I assume the other person also finds the conversation a bit boring. But apparently that is not the case. One way I try to rethink my methodology is that conversations is not just that my interests are satisfied. I'm a particular person with specific interests. So I can't expect that every conversation partner satisfies my needs. But if I want to socialize then I can do so for the sake of others. If I make my conversation partner feel heard then I might be more noticed as well. One place where I notice that I actually contribute to something is a church camp. A guy I know from my youth asked me if I have time to help him in that camp as he is short on a few people. Recently the second one of these camps happened and I can see how each of the leaders is contributing in a different way, including me. That is a confidence boost. It sounds like you feel insecure about your weight. I give as a recommendation to do small steps. For example cut out soda from your life. Just drink water, tea or other drinks with no sugar and no chemistry. And also slightly increase your physical activity. For example take the stairs instead of the elevator. Your goal shouldn't be normal weight. Your goal should be stabilizing your weight and making habits which can lower your weight very slowly over long time. It's better you loose very little over a year than if you do nothing or you do a lot and then bounce back. I'm curious what you mean with _"I have no idea how small talk works"_ could you explain? I'm also curious what your interests and hobbies are. I hope I didn't write too much about myself and scared you off with a huge textwall.

But if you had commitment to your partner, other "golden opportunity will come, and help to lift your relationship". Perhaps you might managed to find a way to live in one roof.

Disagreeing with the stay light part. If you make yourself appear overly stress-free and easy-going, this may make you more approachable at first glance; but can also act deceptively later down the line. The key is to always be authentic - ALWAYS. If another person does not like you know because of certain attitudes, than they sure won't like it if you display these behaviours later on 'out of the blue'. For instance, pretending to like/ dislike something jut to get another person's approval is straight up lying; sadly a favourite of the 'yes'-saying/ face societies. The great thing is, if you show all your quirks now and the other person still likes you, you both truly struck gold. Be authentic! Always.

I am a flirting trainwreck! add to this a healthy dose of introversion, then I might as well play the dating game in legendary mode. jokes aside though, I wish I learned these stuff way way earlier. The constant rejections and overall relationship failures just discourages me to go out into the fray and try once again.

Feel slightly bad now, that before the last date, I had to put up with 7 hours of pure idiocy in a meeting beforehand, leaving me in a very “negative” headspace. Ah well. He clearly didn’t die from my frustrated rant, because we have another date coming up. Still, might watch that one.

My best friend told me *never* to make the first move as a girl. Here in my country if you do that a guy who might not really like you may say yes because they want to use you for your body. You open yourself up to being used and mocked. Making the first move as a female is not a thing here.

You know that there are women who use men too? I have heard it several times that whatever you reveal to your girlfriend can and will be used against you later on. That's part of the reason why some men are not more emotional in front of their wives. Any relationship is a risk. That's why it is smart to not solely rely on your own emotions and also ask people for advise, who care for you and have a good eye for people. And I advise to ask people of both genders. I don't know which country you are from, but making a hard rule of women never approaching a man is very limiting. Of course there can always be cultural aspects as well, so I don't want to make a rule out of it. But generally if you fear the wrong man then you can neither ask a man nor accept a man who asks you. After all you can be used in both scenarios.

Hostility or pretending to be mad or offended to be interesting. While it does inspire a bit of "fight or flight" and raise adrenaline, ultimately it's an immature game that isn't a good go-to. Being volatile is not a characteristic people look for in a long term partner

Being a guy who has no girl be interested in me at all, Before I had a boyfriend instead of finding a girl. I had slowly became best friends with my soon to be BF one that day I became quite nervous and a bit shakey but quite bold in my attempt that I admitted my feelings to him in a school bus (High School) we slowly got even more closer and eventually became boyfriends, We been together for years. I even Married him online in Final Fantasy XIV (Platinum Plan). I like to one day truly marry him in a far distant future in RL, And even have kids (Biological, VIF Route) I was not really truly destined to find a Girl in my life. But a Guy, But I never did cared who gender it is Female or Male. I wanted to find love and finding a guy in my life has been my best decision ever. Had I got a girl instead though? I would not complain. As I learned after I was Bisexual. I am really into Both Girls and Guys.

I know I have a tendensie to be over enthousiastic that’s my biggest flaw. When I fall in love the feeling is overpowering, sow I loss controlle and come over as pushy or needy. I know this from myself, but eventhough I have massively well trainen discipline I have a very hard time controlling myself when we are talking about love. 😅 Later in the realatship I mellow out, but most partners don't make it that far. I kind of have to play hard to get otherwise I smother people with my love. 😅 apperently there is such a thing as to romantic or passionat. I'm like a damn golden retriever. 😂
