The grief share program is very very good. I did it three times. It helps a lot and I recommend anyone go for it. They are usually run at churches and they are 13 weeks at a time. You really get to understand the journey a lot more and don't feel so alone in the process

same here, we had a baby, he got technically a job promotion and a raise, and we couldn't go on dates because we didn't have anyone to watch the baby, we did start going to counseling but not even a week after our appointment he went and had an emotional affair, it only lasted a couple weeks but it devastated our relationship, I don't know how to pick up the pieces... he's never been very emotionally vulnerable with me and he was able to be with some chick he just met... we've been together for 5 years... and this chick was just... there.... my chest physically hurts i feel like my heart actually aches... he says he didn't feel supported or loved but....

@@Kiri_-so3ei my husband did the same thing he had an emotional affair with an older woman than me after 19 years of marriage I don't have the strength to even try to make it work anymore..I told him he can stay with his rebound he said I wasn't taking care of him emotionally he didn't take care of me either but I didn't cheat or had emotional affairs with someone else..

If some one can cheat on a partner that is working hard just for them then they can go as they were never bothered about you in the first place. Let them go and tell them don't bother coming back when they find the other person is just using them.

There is a gray area here. I am not sure where the line is for a friendship with a man, except I believe that the man or the woman involved with someone else in a friendship, should be always transparent with her chosen husband or partner call my wife. I suppose if they are talking about things that they seem to not be able to talk about with their chosen partners, that is a red flag and a signal to go home and try to cover that subject with your spouse or partner

Women just don't understand that men are never just friends, they are just waiting for their shot at you and believe me a partner with morals and a backbone will dump you doesn't matter what the excuses are. Trust is gone and there is no getting it back in full. I would rather live alone for life.

It's not always like this as some especially women will cheat even though they are very happily married they just want to try someone else. This is from women themselves.

everyone needs emotional support. when the person you love isn’t there for that, how in the world can you accuse him of being unfaithful? women tend to get easily emotionally wounded & feel that they to talk it out with people, friends or family members, that hear only one side, not the entirety. these advisers then put on their superhero outfit & give advice detrimental to a relationship that could or would have been saved through calm, rational discussions, with or without counseling. in my case, i was talking with a previous girlfriend from over 35 years ago. it was someone that would listen when no one else would. i felt emotionally abandoned & now i’m accused of cheating. fyi, we haven’t been in each other’s presence in over 30 years. now i ask, is my wife correct with a scorched earth policy & i’m to blame for all that she perceives as wrong? how can i possibly overcome her anger & resentment? i guess it will be her choice to reconcile in her mind after her irrational decision to destroy our family.

I don’t understand. Am a woman and I have a friendship with a men, without any sex, and you’re saying it’s not normal friendship between men and women? He does live with a woman. But I don’t see what’s the problem with that?

I think the problem is when a friendship or close emotional bond becomes so intense that the details are kept a secret from your partner. At that point it's become an emotional affair, especially if feelings of love or physical attraction are involved.
