I was thinking, that nursery rhyme was eerily dark. She got a few details off. They thought sickness came from bad smells in the air, miasma. So, they carried flower petals in their pockets. That's what those big ass, creepy bird masks were about, to block the smell.

Sante Muerte is generally a loving character put in high regard like a saint would be. She isnt about murder or drugs but she is considered accepting. Its unfortunate that drug users use her. She is good and all my experience with her has been positive. She isnt about death and evil despite being death. She guides the souls with loving hands and takes care of the living too. She isnt a god but more like a saint hence sante.

I was given a family name book, that was published in 1994. It had listed everyone from our clan in Scotland, going back to 1160 when the first of our namesake arrived. What’s interesting (to me anyways) is My family namesake lead many towns in the region of the “Bean Clan”, and likely were “Victims/hunters” of the Beans. If you think about it, one generation is all it took to morally bankrupt a group of people. Likely, less than that. Now, is the story true? Great question. The fact we have such poor record keeping from 500 years ago is astonishing. These are also the times when people truly believe in curses and a mere mention of such acts “may” bring it back. So it’s possible they covered it up.

It was a family of psychopaths... including the son!
@alexandralite8353 жыл бұрын
@@lydiapetra1211 if that was the case the kid wouldn't have been as they described "crying all the time, no confidence, ect". The son was pushed to far with the mistreatment. There was no description of his home life leaving us to speculate that he was mentally, physically and emotionally abused. As someone who has gone through mental and emotional abuse I know the signs when I see or read them in statments and stories. For all we know the parents were killing people and making their son watch, the son didn't want to and when he refused he was physically punished. There are ways to hide bruises. Maybe making him go to school without pants on was a mental and emotional punishment.
@alexandralite8353 жыл бұрын
@@SG-pu3rx or maybe one night he decide he was going to shoot them in their sleep, or bludgeon them to death while their backs were turned. There was no lack of empathy from the P.O.V character as he stated he felt bad, even without saying you could tell there was empathy up till the end where there was shock. A normal human reaction would be "was I and my friends the next target, how can someone do that and be happy." As humans we're trained by society that a normal human thinks one way, that to be normal is to have a strong fearful reaction towards death. After finding out something like you school mate killing his parents, it's a normal reaction But what the kid did shouldn't be seen as okay and seen on a one way view, but hearing the story you should give understanding and empathy for what may have lead to the results of his parents ending up dead. Sometimes people do just shut down and go into autopilot, they do things cause it gets stuck in their head that it needs to be done weather it's wrong or right. It's the same as when people get angry and say "they saw red", which means they reacted in anger and just acted physically not mentally.

@@lydiapetra1211yeah but u also don't know the abuse he had to endure. It was probably horrific by how he was acting. No one did anything at all to help him. Not even the social workers. Was he just supposed to stand there and just endure it? It's understandable that he snapped and killed them. Kid was being tortured every day. Just cuz ur friends didn't do it doesn't mean it just automatically makes him a psychopath. Pretty insensitive remark in that regard.

I feel so sorry for Lewis. I love these stories. Just wish the dates around the time these stories happened would be included so I can better imagine the time period, if they had access to cell phones, if it happened in the middle ages, or if it happened closer to 2020 so I can know what to look out for and better understand why people aren't able to call the cops in some of these stories etc. Other than that, these stories were terrifying. Especially the one that took place in what sounds like an older time Era. (the story of the cannibal people living in the cave). The whole time I thought it took place within the 1900's until you started talking about how different historians believe differently about about events and talked about how the people accused of being the murderers were publicly murdered (something not allowed today) and mentioned a king supporting them being killed. That's when I realized it took place a long time ago. Other than being a little confused about when these different stories took place, I absolutely love your narration on the stories and learned a lot about just how dark some people can be. As someone who has anxiety, hearing these stories helps me learn what to look out for. Stories like this have actually saved my life before because I was able to recognize the red flags due to all the true scary stories I had heard over the years. These kind of stories can literally help save some people's lives because they know what to expect and look out for in this world. Thanks for sharing these stories.

Dark Hollow certainly sounds like a good horror film. The Wards would be excellent serial killer characters, like The Hills Have Eyes😂

Great stories as usual 😌. Does anyone know how to spell the surname of the last family? I'd love to read more about them. It sounded like "polka-pia" or something but I'm sure that's not how it's spelled 😅.

This family may have killed up to 30 people and the most they could get is 21 years each. And people say the American justice system is broken. I tell you one thing, if that happened over here it wouldn't have the vague details that I see in the stories I looked up and they would have gotten way more time.

Today my 26 year old daughter told me that she was blessed that she had a good upbringing. Not with lots of money, fancy cars or mansions. Just with a Mother who chose to break the dysfunctional cycle!

This is definitely one of my favorite compilations I have come across yet (& believe me, I have watched TONS of these - love this channel!!). Some of my thoughts/comments while watching: #3 : does anyone have more information about this horrific murder??? Like that must have hit the new somewhere... :\ #4 : I had a feeling that as soon as he was happy he had offed his parents, wow what a story. I feel bad for the kid being raised like that & not getting proper help from teachers - or even peers - taking notice & not making some sort of action. So incredibly sad. System fail for sure... #4 : WOW, I have never heard of this before. Definitely doing more research on this but you did an absolutely incredible job as usual!!! Thank you for shedding some more light on this story. ( Eek ... Glad to know my family were/are Highlanders & hopefully were not affected by this cannibal clan back in the day, hm...) #5 : WHAT! This is seriously in 2008... with their 12 yr old??? Jeez man that is just sick. & I love horror but ugh, to bring your kid along with you on these massacres...killing children while being a nursery school teacher? You have got to be kidding me... *smh*

Poor lewis ngl I mean I know what he did was wrong (you shouldn't kill people obviously) but his parents were bad tho and the fact nothing was done about it to a serious degree he should've been taken away or something

Story 3 the one with Louis. I can understand his predicament. Not that I’ve been there but rather after being victimized for so long and you are finally big enough, strong enough and are at the end of your rope wanting to break free and you do. You have a sudden sense or release. Now that you have escaped your tormentors grasp, you can finally breather the sweet air of freedom. I don’t think Louis would be a danger to anyone but his abusers. That poor boy.

February 13, 2024 In story #4 - I actually feel a bit bad for Lewis. If his father openly treated him so poorly, can you imagine what Lewis had to endure all alone at home with his obvious psycho of a father? What about the "mother"…? She either treated him just as bad OR was totally complicit in the abuse her husband put her own child through. If it was only the latter, she was just as guilty as her psychotic husband! Now, I don’t agree with one murdering their own parents but maybe Lewis snapped and couldn’t take it anymore. Plus, the way he acted in that week or two afterward where he was finally able to dress like his peers and opened up and became friends with many of his schoolmates, kind of shows that maybe that was the real Lewis. Maybe Lewis would have always been a normal likable child IF his parents hadn’t been abusing him so badly. I really do hope that was the situation and Lewis wasn’t a straight up lunatic who murdered his LOVING parents because he wanted to know how it felt to murder someone.. sorry, I watch A LOT of True-Crime! 😅 But, with just the handful of examples told about how Lewis was treated and totally embarrassed by his parents in those last couple years before their murders… I can only imagine how much worse he was treated at home! IF everything happened the way I imagine it could have, when he invited some of his new friends and schoolmates to come to his home, I don’t think it was for nefarious reasons. I’m sure his parents never allowed him to invite anyone over or was even allowed to make any friends. Lewis also may have been scared to invite anyone over due to the way he was humiliated and assaulted by his parents. This could have also been the reason Lewis didn’t have any friends. ** You have to learn how to play the role of the "Devil’s Advocate" for MANY reasons. Sometimes it allows you to see a person you don’t agree with's (or a group of people!) point of view. It is also a good way to help someone make a huge decision that’s not only based on an echo chamber of their own making. It can even help you see both sides of an argument or to understand two totally different ways of looking at a certain situation. **I can’t believe they took Speech/ Debate out of the majority of high school’s curriculum! My three children and I along with much of my large family live in the 4th largest city in America, in several different suburbs. My children and I along with my parents live in a suburb that is in the same county as the large city. The school district we PURPOSELY live in is one of the top rated "public schools" in the nation. Due to where part of our suburb sits, it makes our school district extremely wealthy! Anyway, no matter how much money is poured into it, they think Speech/ Debate classes belong at the college level, not the high school level! One of my three kids are taking a Speech/ Debate class right now and is having such a hard time! He keeps getting all A's but he has to work HARD for it! He whizzes through classes like Physics and Calculus but has a hard time with Speech… He’s a total Gen Z and it shows! My two oldest have more in common with late Millennials than they do with Gen Z’s that are maybe 18 yrs old and younger. I really do hope high schools across the nation bring Speech and Debate classes back as required classes! Thank you for reading all of this and I hope that you and your loved ones are staying happy and healthy! Love from Texas ♥️🤠🌴

That's the sad thing about the girl in the first story. People like Winston go for people like the OP. The quiet "I don't want to cause a scene/trouble type of person. I would be rude af to Winston. I'm pretty bold and blazon with someone who makes me uncomfortable.
