It is highly implied that the characters in Far Cry 3 were lied to about the island. Vaas had spies who would lure people to the island to be captured and held as random to their possibly rich families. So the pilot who flew them over for skydiving? He was an agent of the pirates.

Funny thing about number 3 is that it's yet another excellent example of Infinity Ward's willingness to compromise realism in favor of "storytelling" even before the stupidity shit hit the stupidity fan on their games. That WAS a killshot. Taking someone's arm off with a Barrett .50 would have exploded the brachial artery, which if unrepaired causes bleedout in 5 minutes or less. Plus the blood splatter on the ground was easily 1 pint of blood, a volume loss that leaves most people faint if lost slowly and puts them in shock otherwise. Finally the .50 caliber is one of the largest conventional firearms in existence. That shot probably sent concussive backlash through the target's entire body, causing massive trauma (especially to the heart with blood pressure differencials). It's completely reasonable to have thought that was a killshot in that situation. Apparently the developers didn't put enough thought into that fact for the sake of their cookie-cutter single player campaign.

John John You're right. People lose arms. But in most of those cases the arm is damaged beyond repair and has to be amputated under controlled circumstances (including clamping the brachial artery and treating the person with massive doses of anti-biotics to prevent infection and blood infusions to prevent death from blood loss. Losing any one of these things makes the odds of survival go down significantly. Back in the Civil War when they amputated limbs with saws and didn't have access to antibiotics or blood supplies, an amputation carried a 50 percent survivability shot at best. This guy had his arm blown off instantly, with massive trauma to his body. As Will Brown suggested, he'd have to have had a medical specialist (as in a full medical staff) on immediate call to have survived such a wound, and given the environment, that was unlikely in the best of circumstances. Plus this was right outside the Chernobyl plant, the radiation was not going to do that wound any favors. Bottom line: it was not an unreasonable assumption that that shot killed him,

Norinia Ah yes, that mission. It's an annoying one. When the tanks show up you're not supposed to run JUST then. There's a javelin launcher back in the barn. You need to grab it and use that to take out the tanks. THEN you need to make the bullshit run down the hill. You'll probably die a few times, but it's doable. Good luck if you ever try it again!

Capt. MacMillan didn't take the shot in COD 4 because, in actual military scout/sniper units, the higher ranked sniper (and thus the more experienced one) is designated as the spotter (who calls out the target and gives the sniper all the information they need to take the shot). The spotter's job is much harder than the shooter as the spotter has to figure out all the variable's that MacMillan warns Lt. Price about right before he shoots. The lesser experienced member just pulls the trigger.

Well none of them did actual calculations for a shot that was at least 1000 yards away (For the Coriolis effect to be a factor) Wind, zoning, bullet drop, none of it! Snipers are trained extensively to work all these out very quickly. Here it was more a "Oh yeah you're going to want to adjust for this. and this...and this...you know, just guess really..." so I'd say they didn't do their jobs correctly.

To be fair, that shot in modern warfare would have absolutely killed whats his face. The pressure wave of a .50 alone has proven fatal in multiple trials should the round pass within close enough proximity to a target's head or torso. Its even been reported that limbs have been removed by this force alone. Given the fact that whats his face's arm was hit directly and removed at the shoulder, this would not only have caused enough trauma for him to immediately pass out and bleed to death within a minute or two, but said pressure wave would have passed close enough to his body to cause massive internal injuries as well if not instantly killing him. TLDR i'm pointlessly applying logic to a call of duty game

In Farcry 3, the pilot is a bad guy. His job is to trick dumb, rich, American kids into skydiving onto that island. If you remember the flashbacks. They found the pilot at the club they were at. Doesn't seem fishy at all does it? Extra proof, the pirates found them immediately, I don't think they were just looking up at the sky and are like, "Oh look, there's some assholes sky diving. Lets go catch them, there probly rich white kids." So in my opinion, the pilot was doing a pretty damn good job. To bad he brought a badass to the island :P

That's - I already said that. The game doesn't know what to think. It says two bullets in one place, and one bullet in two other places. Benny and the doc both allude to you being shot but not how many times by Benny, and ONCE by the doc. So again. Point is moot. There were no shell casings found at the scene. The opening intro only goes with one, so that's what I believe actually happened. Besides. You're gonna believe some kid under an underpass who has magic headgear rather than, oh I dunno.. the doctor who operated on you?

Putu, government officials are very well aware of what's going on on the Rook Islands. The U.S sends CIA agents (Willis, Sam, implied there are others too) but I doubt any country would send a full military force to stop a slave-trade ring. Also the Skydiving "company" the gang takes is probably not a legitimate company to begin with. They're funded by the Pirates to bring slaves to the island, so they can most likely afford to "look legitimate" and tourists tend not to look twice, especially when they're drunk and out to have fun.

I got one: the Wizard from Glover. He mixed the wrong potions together in his cauldron, which led to him becoming a stone statue and his magic gloves being sent flying. The right glove, Glover, flew out the window of the Wizard's castle, but the left glove, Cross-Stitch, landed in the cauldron and became evil. What's more, the seven crystals on top of the castle were sent flying! Glover changes them into rubber balls before they hit the ground, but they bounce into different portals. That I find a little hard to believe. True the Dragon Wars were chaotic, though history does not specify what the rest of the races of Tamriel were up to during this time and if the extent of the fighting affected them as well. However, it took careful preparation and the help of Paarthurnax to develop Dragonrend. With so much hinging on whether this shout could bring down Alduin once and for all, you would think the Nords would have more backup than just sending three of their best heroes. Like maybe a small regiment of Nords perhaps? I gathered from what the Scroll shows, the dragons loyal to the mortal races were busy dog fighting with Aduin's forces. Hell, if the Nords weren't so damned prideful they could have allied themselves with the Mer since they would have similar interests in seeing the dragons overthrown.

I don't think the player is totally to blame for being surprised mugged, or at least not being able to immediately able to deliver it, you were on your way to new vegas to drop it off. Now the real question is why didnt you have better armour, or something besides a 9mm gun, i mean, you clearly weren't new to this, nor was he that broke, in one of the dlcs it centered around a package you delivered in the past, so ware did all your courier money go? and why did benny even try to bury you, in the fallout cannon, you can just kill someone and say they stole something of yours and you get off scott free! why all the dramatic hassle with even talking with you and not just sniping you, using the kans (who served really no purpose) to retrieve the chip and then take over!

Actually, the reason Loghain never helped was because he realized what he had been telling Calin for ages. They Didn't Have Enough Men. Loghain was in fact trying to save as much of the army as he could, and try and rally the kingdom against the darkspawn, but the civil war with the Bannorn meant he never could get enough men together. His plan was doomed from the start, but he wasn't in the wrong.

Benny wanted the platinum chip to take command of the bunker containing the auto bots, this was so he could control New Vegas. Benny intercepted the courier service, killed the courier, and claimed the platinum chip. I think this is sort of a 50/50 he did/didn't do his one simple job. Here's an interesting fact Real life snipers have a shooter and a spotter, the thing about this is that while most people would think that the better of the two snipers would be the shooter the roles are actually reversed so that the better of the two is the spotter. This is because the better sniper of the two is better at calculations meaning the spotter can give the shooter a more accurate adjustment so that the shooter will hit his mark (thus disproving the one about price failing at his job) In all reality I'm not a fan of the MW series at all mainly because its realism goes right out the window with that mission because realistically the target would have died from blood loss if not infection of the wound because no one was around to help at all because they all scattered so he presumably had to make it to a safe spot on his own by walking or wait for them to return and by then he would have been dead...

Alex the helicopter pilot from the Payday series. In Payday: The Heist, Alex's job is to drop you the c4 you need to detach the panic room in one of the game's levels. But he's not only a complete chicken, refusing to do anything at all until you've risked your life getting up on the rooftop and clearing the vicinity of snipers, he also regularly flubs up the c4 drop because he refuses to even slow down while doing so. Meaning you have to go all the way to the alley downstairs through swarms of heavily armed swats, and then all the way back up to place said c4. To top it all off, when Alex returns to pick up the panic room itself, you need to get up on the roof *again* to clear out the swarming enemies for him, which is probably the riskiest part of the entire operation. And then when he's given a second chance in Payday 2, namely by dropping you additional ammo in the second day of Big Oil, he has the *nerve* to fuck it up again. There's a good chance that the ammo in question will wind up in completely unreachable locations, such as up in the branches of a tall tree, or at the foot of the cliff you're on. It's no surprise that he was replaced by the much more reliable Bile, whose only vice is his constant nagging.

A random engineer didn't do a simple repair on an automated freighter vessel slip-space drive, causing it malfunction and drop back into normal space, random Covenant Kig-Yar missionary ship finds it, plunders its nav computer, finds the location of Harvest, and then humanity is pretty much f*cked.

The pilot isn't an idiot and isn't the one to blame here, he was just paid to fly over Rook Islands. The one to blame here is Doug, the DJ in Bangkok and a spotter of Vaas. His job was to trick tourists to go to the islands so they could be captured and ransomed. So the DJ shouldn't be on the list since he did it purposely.

+ReverendTed I don't think they ever mentioned if the pilot was also in it or not. But their explanation is "Rook islands is obviously dangerous and why would you ever skydive into it?" well, no one actually goes to Rook Islands because it is in the middle of the ocean and not much people have discovered it. I think they should blame Doug first before blaming the pilot.

For the Far Cry 3 pilot: its implied he is part of Vaas's pirates. He leads people to the island like Brody and the gang or even that cruise ship (may have give the company or captain the idea to see the island's myster/beauty)
