I made these last year with my granddaughters for gifts for their classmates. We also put their names on them. I have a few hints and tricks. First, after you swirl the Polycrylic in the ornament, you should turn it upside down into a little paper cup and let it drain for about five minutes before you add the glitter. That way the glitter doesn’t slide down the ornament before it dries. Secondly, it’s really easy if you use a funnel to put the glitter in the ornament. Your beach ornaments are really cute. I’m going to try one when I make ornaments this year. I love watching all your projects - I’ve learned a lot about crafting with resin. Have a great holiday season. ❤️

Those glitter ornaments brought back some memories! I remember doing similar ones with friends back in my early teens (which was about 40 years ago!), except they were ball-shaped ornaments & we used just plain old glue. We also did ones where we swirled paint around inside. I had forgotten about them, so thanks for the nostalgia! 🧡🧡🧡 The beach ones were a great idea! 🧡🧡🧡

Hi Michelle, they are beautiful. Love the glitters. You can use pva glue that is clear will work too. I've been using pva for years. Same way fill the ball let it drain but let it get a little tacky the glitter sticks better. If it's to wet it will slip and slide...tacky is better. It's great fun. Take care.

I made these last year for my friends for Christmas and one Hanukkah for a friend's husband. I used my Cricut to put Merry Christmas 2023/Happy Hanukkah 2023 with a little menorah! :) Very easy to do. Another tip, I see someone has already mentioned letting them drip dry for 5 mins. My friend was complaining that she wanted Orange Christmas Ornaments and no one made them, so I made her like a set of twelve ornaments for her to have a orange tree. What I also do is put my finger over the end of the hole and shake it really good. It also helps to use a bit of fine glitter if you are going to do chunky to fill in the spots. Also, trust me, getting a small funnel for the glitter will make your life so much easier. ROFL. The ones I made were more of a round flat oval shape. I like these much better. I could see these with little lights in them. That would be really neat.

Oh goodness firefly and crown of gold just hit my January shopping list with Christmas I can't afford to buy for myself 😂 but in January it's on!! I have a list of your glitters I want!!! Wish you did half oz packs in a set of 4 for $20 bet those would sell super fast since you get a variety of colors that way!! I've actually made these before any water based polyurethane will work! You can even make these into shakers with baby oil and seal them with UV resin! I've made a ton of stuff like this over the years! Love to dress up my tree special each year and hand out ornaments to friends and family members each year and these are great just add the year or last name or both on them and you have a beautiful personalized gift to hand out without spending tons of money!

Just a little fyi: They say to let the polycrylic set for 10 min or so before adding the glitter. I'd use your double sided tacky tape and hang them upside down from something to drain and dry a pinch before adding the glitter. Those all look really pretty!

I do the same with Christmas balls but use pvaglue and water about 50/50 roll it around till it coats it all leave it upside down for about 10 minutes then pile in the glitter, and shake it around then sit upside down overnight to dry, and shake out the excess the next day, then use your cricut and put slogans on the outside they turn out great. I like the chunkier glitter you are using, I might have to try that they are really cute that shape 😊

Oh my goodness I got distracted halfway through, just went back and watched the resin ones, they turned out so great, I love them. Going to have to try them ❤

Small suggestion- the wires in the lid will eventually start scraping the glitter off where it reaches the side of the bulb. I remove the wire from the lid and cut the wire down some. I then put the wire back into the little lid. Finally, to make it secure, I glue the lid onto the bulb. (Loved your sea scene bulbs! I will definitely be trying those)
@glitznglitterbymichelle12 күн бұрын
These were actually screw on lids, so there wasn’t any wires inside 😃
@vickikitts59492 күн бұрын
I use Mod Podge inside my ornaments, tip it upside down in a cup to drip out a little then add glitter and shake. Dump the extra out and let dry. I’ve haven’t seen little bulbs like that. I’ll need to look around. You can also use a mini funnel to pour your glitter through.

Maybe next time on the ocean ornaments you could leave a little room at the top of the blue and after it cures add a little white on top, let that cure. Then, put a thin coat of uv resin and some soap bubbles, cure with the soap bubbles to simulate a little ocean foam. Too much? Maybe. Just an idea.
