Why not use Australian words? Nappies/poo?
@EmmaHubbard9 ай бұрын
@@ChumpyChicken2 My audience is from all over the world, so I try to use words that everyone understands / can relate to. Australians and Kiwi's know what nappies means, but when I use those terms there are lots of Americans, Europeans, and others who have no idea what it means. On the other hand, the vast majority, including Australians, understand the term diaper etc. so I use those to make my videos easier to consume for that global audience 🙂

a great tip we used at the beginning when our baby was younger and cried during bathtimes, was wrapping him in a light cloth which if I understand correctly helps him regulate the changes of sensations and cope with it more easily. One of the most useful advices someone gave me about babies is to buy sleepsuits with zipper and avoid buttons. It can be very hard to button the sleepsuits because babies tend to move a lot . It's even harder in the middle of the night if you have to change their diapper and you are half asleeped

my first had extremely bad vomiting. she would bottle feed and everything would come up. no one taught me how to bottle feed. I made the holes in the bottle nipple big because I thought she was not getting enough feeding. she is 8 now but I just figured this out recently as I now am a 2nd time mom

What’s that?
@fraupoppy Жыл бұрын
@@zsazsa4159 it's when you listen to your baby's cues for when they need the toilet. Then you let them use a little potty or simply hold them over the sink or toilet. Sounds like humbug but it works!

A&D ointment, oh my gosh I cannot suggest it enough. Especially when they just come out of the room. Let me tell you that tar poop is like nothing when you have that barrier of A&d ointment.

Hi hon, I just looked up that ointment and there’s a warning on it that says the original a & d ointment for babies bottoms may cause cancer birth defects and reproductive issues because of a chemical that is in it. There may be more than one chemical in it that does that but just the warning, please don’t use this. When you look it up online, the warning is right on the info about it.
