Why not use Australian words? Nappies/poo?
@EmmaHubbard
@EmmaHubbard 3 ай бұрын
@@ChumpyChicken2 My audience is from all over the world, so I try to use words that everyone understands / can relate to. Australians and Kiwi's know what nappies means, but when I use those terms there are lots of Americans, Europeans, and others who have no idea what it means. On the other hand, the vast majority, including Australians, understand the term diaper etc. so I use those to make my videos easier to consume for that global audience 🙂

One of the most useful advices someone gave me about babies is to buy sleepsuits with zipper and avoid buttons. It can be very hard to button the sleepsuits because babies tend to move a lot . It's even harder in the middle of the night if you have to change their diapper and you are half asleeped

a great tip we used at the beginning when our baby was younger and cried during bathtimes, was wrapping him in a light cloth which if I understand correctly helps him regulate the changes of sensations and cope with it more easily. Nowadays at almost 10 months, bath time is one of the highlights of his day! :)

I used a wipe as a “peepee teepee.” Did the trick! I lift the legs, wipe bottom, wipe front, slide new diaper on. Done. I never liked layering the new diaper underneath because I was more likely to dirty it by accident.

Wasted so much money buying one year worth of onesies (everyone swore on) and my baby CANNOT stand getting his arms through them, even the double sleeve ones with stretch. Hopefully these tips make it easier to clean between those fingers and toes. To clean under the neck I find the easiest way is to flip them onto their tummy. They will automatically try and lift their head which makes it easier to clean their neck. I hope that helps!

5:08 my 7 week old absolutely hates any type of dummy and will gag and spit it out if u put it in her mouth, any advice to help this?
@EmmaHubbard
@EmmaHubbard Жыл бұрын
Hi Jessie! You could try different dummies but for some children they just don't like the dummy and will refuse to take it. Which is ok - it just makes travelling in the car a little more tricky if they are awake and screaming! My little one refused the dummy- no matter how much I tried.

How to calm an 11 month old baby while bathing? My baby boy loves to move around since he knows how to stand & keep playing around.....
@EmmaHubbard
@EmmaHubbard Жыл бұрын
That can be tricky. Swapping up the bath toys regularly can help to keep them in the bath. Otherwise I recommend telling him what to do rather than no what to do. So you would sat "Sit down" and then help him sit down and praise him when he does.
@ritsuko7027
@ritsuko7027 Жыл бұрын
@@EmmaHubbard He won't sit down if he had an objective about I'm going to do something. I even force him into a sitting position but he quickly stands up. I did put ducky for him to play but he would definitely put it into his mouth. Since the bath water is not safe to drink. So I don't do that anymore. I keep telling him don't drink the water it is not safe to drink every single time he showers but he seems like don't understand and keeps drinking 😓 any tips?

My baby just turned 8 months, we used diapers the first 3 months. Then we tried elemination comunication, it was successful about 90% of the time. Still used diapers on nights tho, but now about 2 weeks she's butt naked in the night aswell. We also cosleep. I just wish i tried earlier, we both sleep better now.

Hello mam, my son is 5 months old, his weight is 7 kgs still he didn't try to roll over. I tried many times to turn him on one side but he didn't co-operate and I tried to give tummy time. During tummy time as soon I put him down suddenly he started crying. Can you please suggest any ideas to roll over him fast
@homeschoolmom4396

I would suggest taking him to the doctor. It seems like something is causing pain for him. Maybe something is dislocated or a pinched nerve. It's not normal behavior for a baby to cry suddenly whenever you put him down on his tummy.

Any tips on how to get my 2 yr old and my 7 month old to stop drinking the water when they are in the bath? I keep telling them that it's nasty and it's not healthy and whatnot. Mainly my 2 yr old refuses to stop 😮‍💨 she normally listens though, but idk why bath water is so enticing to them

Hi hon, I just looked up that ointment and there’s a warning on it that says the original a & d ointment for babies bottoms may cause cancer birth defects and reproductive issues because of a chemical that is in it. There may be more than one chemical in it that does that but just the warning, please don’t use this. When you look it up online, the warning is right on the info about it.
