Hey PSYCH-Os! 👋 *So, do you have these habits as an INFJ?* Comment down below 👇
@bethiciaprasek10088 ай бұрын
Yes. Planning and habits especially. I spent quite some time researching what I would do if I were homeless even though that is unlikely. When I was injured in an auto accident and my full baths were both upstairs then that planning meant I knew several means to shower if you were homeless...so I used that information to get a low cost membership at a local gym. It also made me realize that where I currently live is likely much better if I were homeless than the place I originally would have gone to without doing more thorough searches and planning. My current random planning is career/job searching. I figure even if I don't need the plan that someone I know may. Plus one of the first things I do at the first visit to a restaurant is to find out where the restroom is. Several habits such as studying at a local pizza place with a glass of wine. It sets the mood.

Well funny enough . I am researching my INFJ traits at this very moment 😏 I'm about to move into a share house and looking up tips on how to not act like Brainy Smurf and end up kicked out the village for being a know-it-all dck .. (I'll reel off endless random facts on random subjects - not everyone wants to hear 'em .. for example - I'd be watching movie with friends and it gets to the dramatic. Suspense moment and everyone's all quiet and deeply engaged in the movie .... So I blurt out "fun fact - fraiser island funnel web spider has a molecules that's being used to slow down heart cell deterioration in heart attacks" .. 👓

When I was a kid, I called the first trait spiritual intelligence-the ability to connect the acts or behaviors of others to the future paths they would be designated or taken to. Anyone can assume another person's future, but as an INFJ, you actually feel their experiences on a deeper level due to your empathy. That is why we need alone time-it takes a lot of emotional and mental energy.

Well, no problems with leaving the house but yes, at home is where this type tneds to recharge the batteries, if one would want to believe this classification to have something to do with reality. ;-) Love for research and overpreparation- 100% true. However it des not mean zero spontaneity. INFJ does have "spontaneity" mode. It simply has to be informed ahead of having to be spontaneous to activate this particular mode. Otherwise, yes, epxect this type not to ever come underprepared to any situation.

Yes. I like order and routine. I do everything I can not to leave the house. I Google every random thought that pops into my head. I may know something about a topic, but I want to know as much as possible. I have no problem being alone, I actually prefer it if I have to discuss a thought I tell my pup. He listens without judgment.It's not easy being an INFJ, LOL, but I'm happy with me. I assume family members and others, not so much. My BFF will say to me when she's telling me about something, "Don't ask me all your questions because I don't know the answers." She knows me well." Then I say let's Google it!" See! Not easy.

Not only am I always seeking to connect dots, I'm also always zooming in and out my scope of perspective, preferably starting at the broadest. I want to see the macro in the micro and vice versa. But I _need_ to see the big picture first. As an innocuous example, that's why I hate the way modern GPS systems work more than anything. Don't show me the next step 300m up the road without showing me where I'm going and the broad strokes of how I'm getting there. I want to see the whole route first. Then I can make a decision about how important the next 300m are. If I'm driving from Buffalo to Dallas, I want to know, "You're going to drive West to Columbus, then cut South through Kentucky and Tennessee till you hit Little Rock, and then drive West again until you're in Dallas." Then, if I want to figure out how to get around Cleveland, I can zoom in on it. Do _not_ tell me: "Turn right in 10m." A) That gives me nothing. And B) You're not the boss of me.

Daydreaming while doing a task or two is so relateable. Once i know how to do the task i get into this daydreaming state. Thinking about anything. Certain Situations that have passed or may to come. Fictional things, what if s and also thinking what to make for dinner and what to buy. I don't know how but i can highly focus at the task i am doing, too. Daydreaming kinda helpes me stay focussed. And i love it. Also i am never leaving the house without headphones. And i love driving by Bus, looking out of the window, listening to music and think about something random. Best Times of the day. Also very emotional.

these quirks are way more common than you think, one part are typical Introvert traids, others are typical Intuitive traids. As such most of what is said in this Video matches for IN** types. For example those exact examples also match me 100%, a professioally typed INTP which in the past also thought that i am an INFJ because of unprecise videos just as this one. Hower INFJs and INTPs are actually pretty different. As such don't just accept this answer just because it feels good. Try to really understand the matter especially if you want to use your Type to solve your Problems. ☺

@deborahwales17178 ай бұрын
I totally disagree. If I go out to do things and get home and realise I've forgotten something, then I will go out straight away and do it. I do this because I don't want any of my free time interrupted the next day. It makes me anxious to have it in the back of my mind that something is unfinished and will get in my way in days to come. On the other hand I have ocd, but I don't think that's really the reason I am like this.

@@deborahwales1717 I wonder if being an INFJ makes you more prone to having a sticky mind. I also have severe anxiety and OCD. I’m working through it but sometimes I don’t know if it’s my personality or disordered anxiety that I’m dealing with! Prob doesn’t matter really it’s all pretty tough. I don’t have complex trauma but two traumas that were preying on me and EMDR therapy helped quite a bit, and exposure therapy is helping w the anxiety. If you haven’t looked into those maybe give them a try❤ All the best to you friend😊
@deborahwales17174 ай бұрын
@zma7707 thank you. I was adopted into an abusive family and have gone through it my whole life. My understanding is that infjs and infps usually have a parent who has narcissistic personality disorder. That is the reason these personality types develop in them. The narcissist targets the child in the family that is a truth teller and has the most empathy and light in them. They set them up as the family scape goat. So yes, it is related to your personality type because early life events form it. I'm not claiming you had a parent who was one- but- I never learnt that my mother was a malignant narcissist and my father was a grandiose narcissist until I was 50yrs approximately. You see, when you are close to someone, you never even suspect. You don't see it because you think they are just like everyone else's parents. Then when you're an adult, you wonder why you have so many problems in life! I used to do therapy, and even have seen psychologists. None of them have helped me as much though as putting the bible into practice.

Things like not wanting to leave the house (ESPECIALLY when you just got home from spending all your social energy) like once my outworld mission is completed, I literally celebrate that I don't have to leave again for at least a few days at least! But yes, every single one nearly made me cry honestly, because I always feel like I am daydreaming, and people tell me that I am antisocial, or argue just for the sake of arguing- but they don't realize that I am doing it in good fun, and that I am arguing both sides. I need to hash it out so I fully can understand it from each viewpoint. Or the googling different research subjects- like they probably do seem random but to me I can tell you why I went down all these 500 paths in a single day. Anyways, I am glad I am not alone and I have found my peoples.

Speaking from my own experience, don't beat yourself up. Having such traits gives you a rich inner life most people do not even suspect can exist inside one person. But on the ther hand it's good to keep in mind lots of it is inside your own head and to remind oneself to get out of your own head every once in a while so that you would not end up being seen as too resereved or simply socially ackward.
