Yes I need a clarification of what sets the personalities apart. Bc the internet will def have u feeling like infjs r just so rare, yet what seems like all the internet: were infjs too! Well in real time, in the actual world, there's def hardly any good listers. In my world, ppl can ask me something up to 6,7,8 times & it's so annoying. Is there something about me that makes ppl behave that way? Then I feel embarrassed bc I start acting bishy (and being that cancers r common w/ infjs) my ridiculous & repulsive sensitive sign is like ✓ bish. You do not have to go off like that. But when it happens soooo much 😭. That or when ppl r interruptive & don't think they r. How does ur dense sh not think u r? And ur gaslighty bc that ish irks me too. I barely get out a sentence & by the time I wanna start acting like a psychopath 🙄🥴, it's my fault. Somexs at that pt it's like I give up. I talk to make a pt. I listen to find a resolution. If you're screaming, being dense, & being interruptive, were both wasting energy & I'm going back to my shell. & I'm in quiet mode again. I also think that some ppl live that drama. While I'm just like how the h r ppl that relentless. Do u not believe in peace? Bc you're so the person of misery loves co. Anyways, while I'm kind of amused & flattered at ppls delicate attempts to summarize us, I'm still thinking wait, how do I get pegged like this. That's my version of not letting it sink. U mean I'm the actual wholesome 1? Fr? That'd make sense y ppl r such haters tho. Stopped washing sigma vids for so long I was like and how did I get there? Ohhh I had to answer like an ish load of questions first. Like I'm literally a loner. "I wasn't even bothering anyone!!!"

So glad I found your channel! At 60 years old I just figured out I am an INFJ and it explains so much, and is so helpful to know this. "Done, not perfect" is a great mantra. I have avoided trying so many things in life because I know I will not do them well, or master them. This is especially true with art-type endeavors. Just need to quit overthinking so much, and just do it! Thanks so much for your insight and great communication style! Looking forward to your next video.

Done, not perfect...that's wonderful...but...daaaaamn it's so hard. The amount of stress when I do something not perfectly...And it happens so often...and I feel like garbage...but when it's the others, I'm compassionate and tell them it's normal to not be perfect and it's wrong to want to be perfect because you're not allowing yourself the learning curve.

I thought I was INFP for most of my life. Turns out it was the strong and overpowering emotions of growing up with boozer and enabler parental archetypes. The house I grew up in was way too small for my senses to develop without an adult man child walkabout of more than 20 years to find out what's mine and what they put into me. Then 4 years camping outside, the 2020 thing knocked me down and I have yet to find a path back up. I didn't retake the test, but channels like this have a %100 relevance to the shape of my life of 50.9 years. The lessons are still proceeding where only just yesterday did I reach the root cellar of my basic damage from growing up with toxic divorce and wizard Dad driven to insanity by VA drugs tested on Vietnam vets, and the replacement having the poker bar as his main social habitat. Tiny house with paper thin walls and I hear like a bird, step Dad is half deaf. That should paint a clear picture of why I thought I was more feely and less wise. It's only been about a week since the tube put INFJ in my stream and it's like WOW! This is the operating manual for my wild and dragon infused birth chart!

I learn more and more about infjs so I can actually confirm 100% that I'm an infj and I still get doubts when I feel something that is said that infjs do not feel and then I see another video where it's valid for an infj to feel that or see that

Number 10 hit me very deeply. And the degree of which you explained that point, especially doubting whether or not I truly am an INFJ, felt like a revelation. The over-analyzing, the desperation for evidence to prove to myself if am, or am not, an INFJ, and the perfectionism that regardless of the mountain of information that I rummage through, it doesn't feel like it's enough to be right. That point was intense. And strangely enough, it had brought me some inner peace. Very interesting!

So, after watching this video, I simply had to retake the test. I am still INFJ … according to the numerous tests I took and doubted 😂. I was actually first introduced to the personality types by a student who did a presentation on this topic about four years ago. The whole class took the test and me and one of my students turned out to be INFJs. The student who made the presentation was not surprised at all about my result. I guess I’ll embrace being an INFJ (until the next test).

I spent that whole video just stoically nodding along until the last one, then I actually burst out laughing 'cuz...GUILTYYYY! lol I explained the inner life of an INFJ to my INFP mother as...some mbti types see their life as if through a telescope, some like they're reading a map; but INFJs go through life like we're rowing a boat. We can't always see where we're going, but we are pretty good at navigating by the stars (our principles/philosophy/inner Truth) so we don't really mind that we can't necessarily see EXACTLY where we're going (low/unconscious SE.)

"The INFJ looks for a deeper meaning in shows and movies." This describes me so much as well as I'm craving deeper conversations with others and I'm striving to be more decisive instead of indesicive which is something I'm working on. I'm striving to know myself better by reading self-help books as this video called out on which I'm shocked with as well and as I've gotten into MBTI because my brother got me into it and have been studying to see what MBTI fits me for the past 4 years because I don't think it's that simple so by also learning about the cognitive functions interesting and learning more on how they work INFJ's functions fit best even though others claim to be INFJ which makes it all the more isolating withing the MBTI community but this video nailed it down because every single point has described me well as a book on the front page. Thank you for making this video because this explains a lot on my behavior and how I'm observing and learning from others as well as knowing myself more!

I thought i just had low self esteem, but now that i think about it- i still feel like I'm not an INFJ because they're so rare and i don't feel that special(i skipped two steps in my thinking whoops). I also don't know myself that well, but the part about self perfectionism and overanalyzing really was something I think was me. Maybe it's just me wanting to be special, because I'm pretty sure infps also seek perfectionism, so I'm not sure:(. I like writing here because I have no one else to talk about mbti with, so it's just nice to write down my feelings, even if no one will read it!

10 out of 10, and not in a fuzzy way. Yours and just a few other INFJ themed channels are easy for me to binge, cause every data point relates to my 50 years and almost 51 next month of life in this time. Gemini is my south node, and Saturn is retrograde in my inner sky, like Mother Goose as my highest inner authority. And Father Tolkien, whose books I started reading on my own initiative at age 11. I began to lose my Dad, whose books included the Hobbit and Lord of The Rings, at age 10 and I sort of adopted Gandalf as my inner father figure. He has proven a great inspiration over the years and the more I learn about his literary history the more it resonates with this INFJ idea, which I consider to be the true wizards of the 16 archetypes of this system. Like us, Gandalf has powers beyond the people of the world, yet is able to cloak his true energy and only use the minimum force centered in the light of love and respect for others. Then the way he sees through the webs of all liars, even Saruman after the former White Wizard poisoned his role as a servant to the light and tossed Gandalf up to the roof.

I have identified with the INFJ type for a while now (3 yrs, so help me) and this is a better one of these videos. I'm not saying it's perfect and definitely don't type yourself off this but it can be a good starting point. Mainly why i dislike these videos is because other types can easily relate to some of these points. Eg. The first one absorbing people emptions, this would be attributed to INFJ's aux funtion Fe (almost soley) which ISFJ has plus since this is an Fe EXFJ would also relate to it. Same with no. 6, this is a social introvert tendancy not cognitive (which is the basis of MBTI). Therefore, INFJ who are socially extroverted (which there definitely are), won't relate to this as strongly. Cognitive introversion (which INFJ's have due to being an introverted type), is where you spend your energy/ time which in this case is inward (reflecting, theorising), while cognitive extroverts prefer to expend there energy outwardly. Thankyou for your time. PS. I'm really sorry if this came off aggressive I just wanted to share my thoughts 😅

Constantly got typed as different Mbti types and I didn’t realize why my personality was so complicated and why I was constantly getting mistyped until I learned about INFJ, I am struggling to believe I actually am an INFJ seeing as I’ve given up on the idea of being perfect and I’ve sorta just given up on trying due to depression and other mental factors. I constantly get distracted because of my adhd and struggle to get tasks done I was never the one who excelled in school I was quite the opposite I failed because I refused to learn the boring subjects because I wanted to learn something I was genuinely interested in. I am constantly analyzing my behavior and the way I act I can pick up on others emotions easily and get overstimulated way too easily. Another thing I find troubling to actually believe I’m an INFJ is the fact that I’ve tried helping so many people but have gotten nothing in return and because of this I’ve withdrawn and slowly given up because I feel as tho no one truly cares I don’t know if this is a trait of being an INFJ but honestly I need fellow INFJ’s to explained to me whether they think I may be an INFJ or not. I’m so confused…

The most serious problem I have as an INFJ is how it makes me love and understand kids and want to be innocent friends with them. This got me arrested and sent to the county jail on unproven and false accusations that I was a molester. Cost me $35,000 in lawyer and legal fees and I'm only a retired electrician on social security.

A few days ago I got called out by one person in a group, that I am always asking how they feel or what they want (because I kind of chameleon and truly care more about what they want and the harmony in the group and etc. etc.). And that one person asked me with an slightly annoyed undertone asked. "So. And what is that you want to do?".... My brain was overwhelmed and I was at a loss for words. I stood there not saying a word and really thinking to my self what I would choose but I couldn't figure it out. Sometimes I feel like that tewking my personality to others annoys many people. I don't want to belive that I am an infj, probably because I still haven't researched the mbti enough to make that decision. *Damn I posted this comment when you said, that I am not allowed to make a decision of my own in some situations. And now I have seen your last point about doubting about being an infj. I am thinking way to much about what to write further. I am slightly overehelmed

All or nothing. Yes. Didn't know that about myself, so thank you. But, yeah ... My family is mostly "What's the point. It's good enough. It doesn't have to be perfect." They don't like plans, they don't like follow through, nor completion. So to them "making a room nice" is putting some kind of furniture in it that will work and giving a mild nod to decoration, or painting the walls, but never mind that the furniture is uncomfortable. It's "good enough" and "will all have to be redone soon, anyway." And, I am like "Let's do it. Let's have a plan before we go to the store. Let's get it done right. Let's get it done all the way and let's do it in a way where we won't want to or have to change anything until and unless it breaks or is worn out after 15-20 years."

I was pretty certain that I was an Ni dominant (INXJ) before watching this video, but couldn't quite put my finger on which one I was. I was called cold and selfish at times, yet at others lovely. I act rationally, yet also am in tune with how others feel about situations and my emotional instincts. Because I seemed to relate to traits of both T and F, and the tests seemed to be giving me a mixture of the two, I was torn on which one I was. I think the root of this problem stems from the fact that both of these types have thinking and feeling types sandwiched in the middle (Te-Fi for INTJ and Fe-Ti for INFJ). My best friend was the first to suggest I was an INFJ, when I had been thinking I was an INTJ at the time, which got me thinking. My sister later suggested it as well, which made me curious as to whether they could be right. After watching this video it made me certain that I am actually an INFJ. I for so long had been mistyping myself as well, with my first ever result being INTP.

Excellent video as usual! I would add that we don't lie very often, though, due to our mirroring of others to make them comfy, we may be accused of it. We may assume that if someone is wonderful 95% of the time, the 5% of the time when they act like a monster was just them having a bad day. After all, we wouldn't be faking it 95% of the time, so why would anyone else do so? Thus, we give second and third and fourth chances. Ime, almost all of the time, that person you see 5% of the time is the real one, and we need to face those red flags before we get badly hurt. It took me until way too late in life to trust my intuitive doubts about people, so maybe that was just me. I wonder if other INFJs agree....

@@INFJcircle - I'm glad it's not just me, but also sad that others are being hurt the way I have been. We also seem to attract people with certain serious personality disorders, or at least those of us INFJs who are also empaths seem to do that. Opposites attract, and we have enlarged amygdala, while they have smaller than normal ones.
@INFJcircle
@INFJcircle Жыл бұрын
I agree. We attract some really strange people, and often they are sociopaths or narcissists. We need to learn to identify these people and get them away from us ASAP. I also agree we are very much more "emotional" than most, and I mean that in a good way. We consider others feelings whereas many do not. Jay

The deeper/extreme end of this propensity to mirror dishonest or abusive individuals when they've isolated us and they're the only individuals around for us to grow or coach or raise, is a concept called "reactive abuse"... they abuse... we endure until we can't anymore, we abuse back... they accuse us of abuse... and since we're shocked at what we've done and also honest, there's a very real risk of basically absorbing the actual culpability for the entire thing before we even know what happened. Lies and abuse are kryptonite, our righteous indignant outrage has the power to level others, and some of them *want* us to punish them so we can accept their spiritual debt as well. There are one of two perspectives: reactive abuse is justified, but you're simply better at it, and carry the power of truth which the entire Universe will conspire to help you render against dishonesty and cruelty, making you look at fault to a world that can't comprehend cause and effect the way you do (all the jerks who think you're making stuff up?) so you're better off identifying abusers early and slamming that door,..... or.....reactive abuse is still abuse, and you'll end up internalizing that fundamental fact as guilt, until you're somebody's sin-eater, and that sense of righteousness you were born with is gone, so you're better off identifying abusers early and slamming that door. The thing is: two things can be true at once. Reactive abuse is abuse, and they asked for it, out of ignorance of your abilities they didn't plan for, or awareness of your abilities that they *have* planned for, and either way: you must identify abusers early, consider how badly they'll inevitably treat all the other beings you're meant to help, visualize them treating your favorite little helpless person the way they've treated you, and let that be the power with which you slam that door. If you feel that "why would they do that" feeling, and all that comes back is "cruelty", slam. the. door. There are spectacular people who would never make that mistake. The risk to you is too great. Why do you think we're rare? Think about it. xoxo

Like, I totally believe in reincarnation, but I am NOT coming back to this planet I don't care what they try to tempt me with - it's not worth it. I have made sure my loved ones know that I love them and I have been a responsible human, so when I finally shuffle off this mortal coil, I REFUSE to put on another meat suit for this rock. HARUMPH!! 🤣🤣🤣 Number 10 caught me red-handed. During the whole video, my mind was like: Well… Yeah… I resonate with these points in some way, but not to the extend described. People learn to deal and cope with many societal norms, so am I just used to cater to others social needs or am I basically no INFJ at all. The points described can show in so many different ways and lead to so many different types of behaviour. I also struggle to believe, that INFJ‘s are so rare. I mean, how many people took part in this test anyways, so far? Does the amount of data gathered realy paint an accurate picture of the actual situation? How proven is the testing procedure itself? And how accurate is the concept of 16 personality types, for it was invented quite a while ago, during another time period. How do other factors, like cultural backgrounds or the social status and environment we grew up in (for example) influence our view of the world an ourselves and therefore maybee also influence the results? Sooo many questions 😱. It feels like every time I dive into a topic, the more I learn, the more questions I have afterwards. It seems nearly impossible, to know enough about something, to take all aspects into consideration and to realy be a quote on quote expert… And therefore able to give a detailed and sound explaination. 🙄

Excellent, and spot on, although I hate that expression.You nailed it. I think you may have convinced that INFJ traits do not emerge in lock step throughout the stages of life, and that you may be an INFJ as a result of the experience of your entire career. I took the tmbi a few years ago and realized I needed to take it again because I sensed I was in my coping mechanism when I answered the questions. Especially the question that asked "if at a party, do you leave early or are you the last one to leave? My wife is almost always the last one to leave, so I end up staying with her. When I rethought the question, I realized I wouldn't have even gone to the party in the first place. Overall, I was in tears with most of the points in this video. Thanks for helping us.
