I don't know if has been done or not but I think it would be fun to see you do a video of you doing full face makeup and using products not what they are meant for. A lot people know they can use bronzer for eyeshadow. Instead of blush use eyeshadow or lipstick, but do as much of the face as possible switching up the products.

I saved the mascara wand when my favourite one ran out, washed it thoroughly and now use it to brush through and separate my lashes after applying my current mascara, that way it doesn't matter if I've bought one and don't like the wand but love the mascara itself and I can use it for any colour too as long as I wash it in between 😊

I've used the Qtip method for mascara mishaps, but I actually like a different one...wait until it's dry, then use the brush end of your lash comb to scrape it off. Works for liquid eyeliner too.

Dry skin and powder can look really cakey. My face gets sweaty in the summer, so I need a little setting powder so my makeup doesn't melt off. Blotting lightly after foundation has set with a coffee filter (no lint) before applying powder prevents cake face much of the time.

If I go too heavy with the Blush or Bronzer (Which I do practically everyday), OR if I just want to buff everything to make it more seamless, I use some Powder Foundation. My Go-Tos right Now are my Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Powder Foundation or Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc Free Mineral Face Powder, and I just take some over top of my already completed, powdered face and buff everything together and it tones down the Bronzer, Blush, Etc. These are also great Powder Foundations to use alone, which is originally why I got them. So, this tip is very similar to the powder tip that Zabrena gave. 😄

I am guilty of putting too much concealer under my eyes and then it creases like crazy and of course I've already "set it" with powder. I fix it by taking a q-tip and brush lightly over the creased areas; it helps smooth out the area and get rid of the creasing. Thank the Lord for Q-tips!!

I've jabbed my nose with the mascara wand before, and I always get that blob of excess mascara right in the middle of my face. I use a Q-tip and firmly roll it off my nose, like a scooping motion and that usually does it. A little powder to cover that spot and it's gone. Another is doing my winged liner on the outer corner, and somehow fudging up how thick I want it or how it curves compared to my other eye. I use my shadow base Mac Painterly to cover up those ragged edges and clean up the lines. A little powder to set and it works just like concealer but better. And finally, watery eyes and trying to bake my under eye concealer do not mix. So, once my eye stops watering and I clean up the mess, I go over the exposed spot with Painterly then set. Seriously, a concealer but better!

After applying foundation and powder, I use a setting spray, then use a damp beauty blender and tap all over my face. This really helps work the product into the skin and helps your skin look flawless.

Speaking of Powder Foundation, I'm sure Many People already know this, but I know some don't. Try using a damp Beauty Blender, or Other Makeup Sponge when applying Powder Foundation. Loose or Pressed Powder. When I was originally introduced to Powder Foundation years ago, I loved the concept, and I loved how much quicker it would be than using liquid and then having to set with powder. However, I attempted to apply the Powder Foundations with a Buffing Brush, Kabuki Brush, and a Powder Brush and without the 'Wetness' of liquid foundation, it wasn't really sticking to my face, and definitely was giving me like ZERO Coverage, just gliding right over blemishes and such without covering them at all. So, I had decided that Powder Foundation alone must just be for people with Perfect, Smooth, Flawless Skin and that it wouldn't work for people with actual flaws like myself. I never touched the stuff for years. Then I saw Tati in one of her First Ever Videos recommending the Physicians Formula Mineral Powder as a Setting Powder and then she said 'It also makes a great Powder Foundation and you can get good, Medium-Full Coverage if you apply it with a Beauty Blender.' Well, Needless to Say, that was an epiphany for me lol. I had been using Sponges for quite some time by that point and I didn't know WHYYYY I had never thought to use them with Powder Foundation. Anyway, After an extremely long story, IT WORKS, AND IT WORK WELL LADIES AND GENTLEMAN. 😄 It gives Excellent Coverage, Really helps the Powder to Adhere to the skin, and Set with a Setting Spray, it creates a beautiful, 'un'powdery finish. 🙂 I also had gone out and got the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Mineral Powder, and it works so good as a Standalone Foundation OR for Setting the Face, and it's so good for Sensitive Skin and Breakout Prone Skin Because it does not contain Talc or other Nasty Stuff lol. Ok, Sorry for the Novel, Hope something might help Someone 😙

If you like powder foundation try the Bare Minerals Pro pressed foundation. I use an It Cosmetics kabuki to apply it and it covers my acne and redness very nicely. But I'm gonna try the sponge trick now too! :)
@BearScowe7 жыл бұрын
Tani Kiah Thanks Love! I'm always looking for product recommendations. It's funny, because I was just thinking about picking up a Bare Minerals Powder for a quick, throw together kinda day. I got a Sample from Sephora or Ulta of one of their powders, and I don't know which one it was, but it was really nice 🙂 Also, the sponge thing. Most of the time, I use the sponge to pick up the powder, then kind of dab it around my face, then usually have to go in with a Buffing Brush or a Kabuki and Blend it and Even it out. Using a Sponge for the Powder Foundation was seriously like Life Changing for me because it picks up enough powder. Some Powder Foundations, like the Tarte one I have, Advertise that they are 'Full Coverage', and with a brush, you wouldn't know it lol, but picking up and applying with a damp sponge, I'm like "Ohhhh..Ok, NOW I see!" Lol 😃

I use a fan brush for dusting off excess powder, or cleaning up any stray glitter or eyeshadow specks that have landed on my cheeks. It's a great clean-up tool! The fluffier it is, the better it works.
@azyuhki7 жыл бұрын
A spoolie would catch any glitter speck that accidentally fall off on your face! It doesn't work as efficiently as the tape for lots of fallout, but if you're going out and about, checking your makeup in the bathroom mirror to find a few speck of mascara flakes or glitter fallout, grab your brow pencil with a spoolie and simply flick it away! A spoolie also catches any of those invisible cat hair that you can't see but can feel it I your face :) A very useful tool, I highly recommend everyone to have a couple in your collection, either as a standalone or attached to your brow pencil.

Great tips. Lately, i've been misapplying my blush every single time. It's because I put a little cream blush on and then put powder over it so it'll stick and stay on me through these long, sweaty summer days. I have so many blushes already that I hate to buy more. I did take notes on your swimming video with the waterproof make up so I'll have to check back and see what kind of blush you used there. Thanks or the video.

For the excess, over the lipline lipstick ..an extension or slight modification of the concealer trick. I saw on Melissa Ala Torre's channel, was instead of using liquid concealer, was to use powder foundation in its place. I found that to work much easier than the concealer becuase I usually leave a big white line with the cream concealer. The 'fix' ends up being more of a mess for me. Loved this video Ms Zabrena

Not sure if this is a true mistake, but if I put on an eyeshadow look and it looks too cool and makes me look dead, I run my brush that I put my blush or bronzer on with across it and somehow that fixes it. It warms it up and makes me look alive again! #palegirlproblems lol

If I get mascara on my lids but close to my lashline and didn't wear liquid liner that day, I'll take a slim, dense, not-quite-liner brush and kinda buff out the mascara that way. Using one of those little sponge smudger tips like at the ends of those Revlon liners works great too! OR, I'll take a little dark brown or black shadow, dip the tool in it, and use the same trick--creating a slight little smudgy smoky liner effect in the process :)

Another tip for lipstick outside the lines is using an eyeliner or lip liner that matches your skin tone and just going over the mistake with that then blending it a bit
