Either way, make them drive the length of the field for a score. If there's turnover without a score then then they change possession with a kickoff/auto touchback. I think for QB Passing Yards, it depends on what happens during the catch. If it's a perfect pass hitting the receiver in stride so he can easily keep running, I think the QB deserves some credit. But if the QB throws a tight in-space catch and the WR somehow escapes a tackle, that's not the QB's correct reading and accurate passing, that's pure WR star power. A rule change I believe would help evolve the NFL and make it more competitive is allowing the defense to have an extra man (12) on the field for a series at least twice a game (determined by head coach) with the option for a third in exchange for a play challenge request or combine them with no challenges to have one whole quarter with 12 on the field (HC option). With the now obvious advantages of these complex offenses along with these new dynamic Qb’s that’s coming in the league with the ability to throw and run. It could help with the balance and keeping these defenses from being at a constant disadvantage against these high powered offenses that’s so hard to stop, coupled with threat of a penalty every play while trying to defend against Qb’s that can now tuck and run for huge gains constantly, especially if coverage is good or play breaks down. This really does give the offense the element of an extra man every snap. What you guys think about it? Feedback, opinions, and insight welcomed.

I agree with every thing but the qb yard have to be when they catch it because if you make an open pass for 5 yards but it become a touchdown the qb was the one who made the wide open pass leading to the touchdown so they should be credited. Also this would ruin fanasty football

What if you had a kicker that can kick off into the field goal constantly? Imagine having 250 field goal points because you got the best kicker in the league?

Kinda agree with all but not the quarterback after yards rules

I've said to all that will listen for years that once a pass has touched a receivers hands, and continues into an opponents hands, it should not be a interception charged to the quarterback. It should be call a deflection and charged to the receiver.
@EyeSeeDeadPeople442 жыл бұрын
So what happens if the receiver was trying to make a play on an uncatchable ball?what if it's under thrown?that would be a horrible rule change.the quarterback is the one throwing the ball so it's almost always his fault if it's intercepted.there are instances where it's thrown perfectly but more than not it's usually the QBs fault.
@PastarocketS-sb7nk2 жыл бұрын
@@EyeSeeDeadPeople44 First of all, you have to look at the definition of the word interception. It means that whatever doesn't make it to the desired location. Once it makes it to its destination, the quarterback has done his job. He can't go down the field and catch it for the team. He can't go down there and knock it down or out of the oppositions hands. Therefore, it should only be called an interception and charged to the QB if the ball doesn't make it to the receiver. Whether it is underthrown, or overthrown, same thing. Once it bounces off the receiver, and into the hands of the opposition, it is called a deflection and charged to the receiver. Then they'll have a negative stat attached to their legacy. Think of all the great quarterbacks from the past. How many times have they hit their receivers in the hands only for the ball to bounce up and be snagged by the corner back or safety? Then they get the negative stat added to their interception record, totally not right.

@@PastarocketS-sb7nk so who makes the decision on if the pass was under thrown or over thrown,and all the other things?come on man that would ruin the game big time.im not saying the interception is always the quarterbacks fault but it would be a stupid rule to change.you guys want too much 🤣...for all that why not let the receiver and quarterback switch places?Do y'all realize what y'all asking for?🤦♂️
@EyeSeeDeadPeople442 жыл бұрын
@@PastarocketS-sb7nk oh and another thing,there's a lot of times where the ball is over or under thrown And the receiver can't catch it so he tried to bat it down so it's not intercepted.who gets charged with the interception if it's intercepted when he tried to bat it down? Regardless of any argument you try to make the quarterback threw the ball and it never got to it's destination because obviously it was intercepted 🤷♂️...now you can blame the wr because sometimes it is their fault but they didn't throw it to begin with.you can't say someone threw an interception if they didn't throw it.

The kick off through the field goal wouldn’t be a good idea, most kickers can kick it that far but don’t because it pointless and tryna and dot up the goal line, if it was worth a point teams would just go back and forth with points until someone misses and kick off returns wouldn’t really be a thing anymore Bc of kickers kicking behind the end zone

Not the qb one there’s many circumstances where the wrs yards after catch are because of the qb

With the tie rule I think that is because of non prime time games. If the game runs to long then a network can’t show multiple games back to back.

Kickoffs through uprights should definitely be a point for kicking team and a touchback for recieving team. Edit- Tipped ints should be considered ints for the defensive player but shouldnt count against the qb.
@jfoster86242 жыл бұрын
The defender already gets credit for the int and no it should be the QB's fault tips are generally because the pass wasn't 100% on target or too far and fast ECT

Qbs should get yards after catch as long as the wr doesn't get touched in any way, if there's contact then the yards don't count, if there's not the qb should get them

All good except the yards after catch. This would monumentally change fantasy football in ways no one could predict. But I'm down for the rest. I also propose that for the team celebration, we give the 30 seconds to celebrate. That way the coaches, staff, and other players can join in!

Another rule change could be when a qb is hit and throws the ball away, make it count as a pass deflection for the player hitting the qb.

Lets talk about the 1p kickoff. The NFL should really think about this for player safety. If the Kickers try to hit the 1p there would be way less kickoff returns and this is still the most dangerous part of Football.
