I never herd of TARSAL Tunnel before. However doing these routines will help with my dropped foot and spasticity. I will add them to my workouts. I have been dealing with Multiple Sclerosis for 23 years.

Thanks for this. I'll certainly try it out. I've had 13 months of medial ankle pain and been seeing a podiatrist, acupuncturist, massage therapist and physical therapist and nothing seems to be helping....even tried bracing, custom orthotics, proper footwear, steroid injection etc.

A few years ago same issues/same path as you…wasn’t until PT began treating a torsion in my pelvis that the tibial nerve pain begin to go away. I had tried everything else for almost a year, and it took 4-6 months of treatment. I’m very active, on my feet all day, instructing Pilates and yoga and all along the “foot issue” was a hip/pelvis misalignment. Check with your PT…PS, issue has come back with a vengeance in the past two weeks, so I think it will be a lifetime of realignment (though it’s been over two years since my last PT session).

Amazing, some immediate relief to pttd after the stretching release. Regular PTTD exercises were not enough the release to treat the actual tarsal tunnel really made the difference. Gives me hope i can calm this flare up down in time to wear low heels to my work conference next week 🙏 Then planning to stay with these exercises to hopefully keep the condition at bay

@@OrthoEvalPal I had a terrible flare of my PTTD at the time I found this video. I did a subset of these exercises I found most helpful religiously and bought Brookes Adrenaline sneakers to support my flat feet better. I was able to wear low heels/flat dress shoes to an important conference this week. Again did these exercises from my hotel room. It minimized my pain from less supportive but necessary footwear and within less than 48 hours any residual pain from the shoes was gone along with the numbness and tingling from tarsal tunnel. I'm doing these exercises for life now!

Excellent video in explaining Tarsal Tunnel. I received more info from you than the two PTs I have gone to. I was wondering could this also help with tibilias tendon (dysfunction) as well. I would love to get the tarsal tunnel issue (both feet) resolved and start strengthening the feet and calves. Thank you so much for all your videos. Where are you located?

I've had multiple back surgeries. Was just told I have Tarsal Tunnel. Left side pain and numbness is from that and not from back. Will start these exercises and see what doc recommends once I have MRi. I did twist this ankle badly years ago. Many people with TT have had ankle injuries

I’m not sure what’s causing my medial ankle pain/burning (i don’t have ins) but i’m assuming it’s a compressed nerve from sitting on my foot for 10 yrs. I’ve been wearing the boot for a mo which helps a lot but i still can barely walk w a reg shoe. I’m excited to try these stretches & exercises. Thank u so much for posting! 👏

Hi, I twisted my ankle over three months ago, I experienced electric shock pain every on and off around the ankle toward the arch of my foot for the first few weeks. I still experience different pain sensation around the place you showed in this video. Would you be able to tell me if these are the symptoms of the Tarsal Tunnel syndrome or Sinus Tarsi syndrome?
@NadiaAhsan-k5j4 ай бұрын
Do it have any side effects if not treated properly

Thank you so much for this! When doing the routine where you point the toe in, back and out, I feel an increased sensation of my nerves on the side of foot, ball of foot and middle of foot. Is that further indicative of tarsal tunnel syndrome?

I have this on outside of my foot. Is that still called tarsal tunnel syndrome ?
@thebodywell6 ай бұрын
Tarsal tunnel issues in left ankle, but my foot arch has always been super high/rigid (very strong) and I already do many of the foot/toe exercises (shown after the nerve glide) as well as calf raises. However, when I do (more) of those exercises the tarsal tunnel seems to flare more (get more entrapped) so I assumed it was because those muscles are too strong. Suggestions about what might be happening further ‘upstream’? Higher than lower leg perhaps?

Thanks. The gliding is just movement, not strain, right?

What does it mean if I can’t do the nerve gliding exercise where you point your foot at an angle?
@OrthoEvalPal3 ай бұрын
Hard to tell without seeing you. Anything from muscle and joint tightness around the ankle to a nerve that is scarred down. I would have it evaluated by someone with orthopedic experience.

I have TTS. Just noticed it yesterday bending over to tie my shoe lace. Sudden stabbing in the heel below the medial maliolus. Slump test positive and dorsiflexion/eversion test positive. No neuro deficit or vascular deficit. Tinnels: no numbness or tingling but reproduces pain in heel. Will start exs and taping. Woukd an aircast be of benefit?

@@potatoepeel hi, it is improving with activity modification and specific exercises as outlined in the video. I am pretty sure it came on as a result of running on a clambered road. Can't feel anything bending to do shoe laces but starts to come on after being on feet for more than an hour. How are you getting on?

My pain has been ongoing for 6 months now on both feet, I was diagnosed last month with Planter Facilitis after 4 months of begging for the doctor to take me seriously, but there is swelling on the side where the arch should be (they also said I have flat feet.) I've used ice packs, rest, elevation, stretches/ foot roller and insoles. I was also on anti inflammatory. My pain isn't too bad in the morning, only when I've been standing/ walking. I can't take time off work because I don't get paid. I want to know if its this. I just want to be able to walk and stand again so I can enjoy my life. Most of my pain is in my heel, but it's moved to both sides of my feet, like I need to click it all the time, but my feet don't bend that way. They are considering steroid injections and physio, but the wait lists are long. I'm searching for answers on here because I've seen 3 doctors about this. The first said it wasn't Planter Facilitis, the second said it was only flat feet and the 3rd sent me to get an ultrasound which said it was PF and Achilles bursitis.
