Hi Mary, I use a matte sunscreen on my forehead, nose, chin, eyelids & tear troughs and a dewy sunscreen on my cheeks, jawline and neck. I don't want to be matte everywhere.. or shiny everywhere! I currently use the Australian Cancer Council sunscreens on my face, neck and back of my hands and a economical size broadspectrum 50+ Aldi one on my body...which is normally just my arms. The rest of my body, even my legs don't normally see the light of day!😂 It is winter here, but I still wear sunscreen 365 days of the year. 👱🏻♀️❤️

People think I am 20 years younger than I am. I actually rely less on products and more on consuming foods that promote a healthy glow like Cruciferous foods. Then I drink as much water as I can. My plant based diet gives my skin a natural rosy glow. Blush is one thing I don’t need anymore to recreate color in the face. I can always tell who doesn’t eat much greens, by looking at their face. As for products, I use hyaluronic acid, and vit c serum followed by vit E moisturizer then sunscreen. Except for the sunscreen, I think if you don’t eat healthily, then it doesn’t matter how fancy your products are. You end up just relying on makeup to create the glow that suggests good health.

Part of cleansing in the morning is removing last night's skincare products rather than layering on a bunch of morning products. I don't think rinsing will adequately remove layers or actives or occlusives from last night and let my morning products sink in.
@paulachristie7807 Жыл бұрын
I saw another Dermatologist talk about this. She said if you’re going to wash your face in the morning with only water, you need to get in there and actually wash just as you would with a cleanser, just splashing water on your face isn’t going to cut it. Personally, I like the Vanicream cleanser in the morning followed immediately by my antioxidant serum.
@DrDrayzday Жыл бұрын
There is no need to remove products from the night before. That is a waste
@denisenj7648 Жыл бұрын
@@DrDrayzday Are you saying that last night's products work for 24hrs or that they've stopped working by morning and therefore don't need to be removed? Either way, I would want a fresh surface to apply morning skincare rather than put 3 or 4 more layers on top of last night's 3 or 4 layers. I think each layer will penetrate less and be more diluted.
@DrDrayzday Жыл бұрын

A regular friction on knees or other body parts can really trigger psoriasis. l constantly have psoriasis on my 2 fingers that I use to open bottles - those bottle caps usually have ridged edges and I try to do my best to avoid opening them when I can or use cloth to soften the friction between my skin and the bottle cap. But still, cannot get rid of it. In summer my psoriasis is usually better. But in winter, it can be quite painful, it forms bleeding cracks in skin.
