By hardwire I mean, you have to purchase a 'hardwiring kit' which is available separately. When I access the microsd card in the laptop, I see one hidden folder containing the same front camera videos. I guess it's consuming double space for duplicate videos. If you want parking monitoring, then hardware kit is mandatory. Otherwise it's not needed. If you do install hardwire kit, it doesn't void the warranty of the car technically speaking. It's safe to use. The battery life will be affected in the long term.

Electrostatic sticker is used incase of immediate need to change the place of dashcam or need to remove it easily. If intending to keep the dashcam in the same place without changing it's location for a long time, no need to use the sticker.

Look at the number plate of the yellow moped with the lady, at 24:17. The number plate is more readable in the top video (new A810) . However, look at the vertical lines on the red balcony, at 14:18. Why are those stripes much more visible in the bottom (old A800S) video, than in the A810 (top) video? I think that those lines are not an artifact, they exist in the real balcony, but that detail is lost in the new, A810 camera. Strange.

Yes, not a drastic difference, but yes, the extra frames do make the video smooth. But I would prefer the higher resolution compared to lesser resolution with high frame rate

Maximum clip duration is 3 min in most dashcams and minimum is 1 min. It is to avoid overheating and damage of the sdcard.. Also writing a single extended video file has more chance to be lost due to read/write error.

1. To zoom in on number plate, you have to transfer videos from dashcam to your pc/laptop and then using a video editing software, you can zoom in as much as you want 2. No, its not supposed to reformat everytime it starts. It might be an incompatible sdcard which you have inserted. Try using a different sdcard like this: amzn.to/49NX01I If the problem still persists after changing the sdcard, register a complaint to the service centre on their WhatsApp number.

@@traveltechyoutube I have checked with this service center guy. They asked me to check with the USB charger. So it works fine with the USB charger. The camera automatically starts when I turn on the USB charger. So the observation is that my Skoda Kushaq is supplying continuous power hence camera does not turn on automatically after starting the car. Now the solution is either I need to do hardwire or I need to discuss with skoda center if they can stop continuous power in 12 V DC charger. Hope this will help the other SKODA users. good luck.
