Oncology is really tough and sad specialty. Lot of patients won't make it. Huge respect to Oncologist.

@@Stoneface_ classic pre-med take on oncology. Im very glad to say most people have good outcomes and this statement is ignorant and false. Surg onc and rad onc cure people ALL the time, the problem is when you get to stage 4 its not curative (for most disease sites) and you see heme/onc for non curative chemo

Great video, I have one question though: why is your IM character so strikingly similar to Dr. House? He has subspecialized into nephrology and infectious diseases.
@julesinmed Жыл бұрын
That would be because IM doctors are seen quite like the "diagnosticians" of the hospital (even though every doctor makes diagnoses) and they're required to know not just a bit of everything but a lot about a lot! Kinda like Dr House would come up with insanely specific bits of knowledge about the most random things😂

Can you do a video that talk about how to do self-reflection of a bad exam to do better in the next one or how to perpetuate your success depending on what you get? Suppose I did Active-Learning and still, got a bad mark on a test. How can I determine my faults? What should I do next? What can I learn from this?

Why won't people directly become a cardiologist/ pulmonalogist, etc, rather than becoming an internal medicine doctor and then sub specialising in these? 🤔
@holden-caulfield5 ай бұрын
Because you can't🙃. These are subspecialties, you have to be an internal medicine doctor to become any of these specialists.
