I have another tip for improving accuracy. We tend to shoot in the middle of a target/targetface, wall, log, etc. And we think we are aiming at a specific colour/circles, but we arent. Our brain is jsut good at finding and aiming at the middle of a thing. Meaning the brain rly likes to keep that sight picture (middle of the target) and then match it with correct muscle memory. But this is too convenient and not useable in a real life scenario. And in a sense just a prerecorded sight setting. So a good way to break this illusion of good aim, its good to add multiple "off angled" targets, some small some big some round, some square, som random, some coloured, some transparent etc. This way you can improve your aim a lot.

So true. If you don't have a massive garden you can try a field archery course. It's a nice change of pace.

Another "resource" easy challenge I can recommend is to try shooting with your other hand. It makes you rething how you shoot with your main hand and makes you bit ambitextrous if you keep practicing the both ways.

Brilliant vid sir, couldn't agree more, shooting has to be fun and exciting. Some days are better than others for me but I am old and moving when sore is difficult 😂, but you will see climbing trees to shoot.

Different levels of archery, I like that! Very interesting concept. Thank you for sharing. It's a pity that most archery club (olympic style) in my area don't allow archers to move while shooting for safety matters.

Thanks for comment and yes... archery should be happening in the move.

One of the best hacks you can do in traditional archery from the beginning: Always train and shoot both sides. left and right handed. Its a unique potential a traditonal bow offers to the shooter: It's designed to shoot it from both sides. No modern compound or even recurve bow can do this.

Awesome video. And super helpful I cant wait to start trying some more dynamic shots myself in the future. Though i think i need to work on repeated form a little more before that though. But your advise is fantastic. Great job. 😊👍

It looks all fun, but at the same time, i'm a bit offendet. :P Stationary archery is the natural way for sport and hunting. Every time when moviing is involved, it's trick shooting. Trick shooting is for sure more fun, but where you can do it? Defenetly not in an Archerey Club, or a place where other people stick arround. For more fun on stationary archery, try 3D Bow Parcours, here in europe, we have many of them.

I wanted to demonstrate this idea in a very simple way so everyone can see how complex archery can be and that most if archers are stuck on the basics 🫣

@@CharliesRunningArchery what i like about it is, that it's a great way to construct a good training regiment for someone who's been an archer for a long time and can't really figure out what to do next to bring his skills to a greater level. This is why I always love your videos, you have fresh ideas that nobody else can think of. And you are right that we are stuck at a certain level that we are comfortable in.

What is that invention of your neighbor and how does it make all the moles go away from your garden? I am more curious about that now!
@CharliesRunningArchery4 ай бұрын
As you see on the video :) plastic bottle, arrow inside, two other bottle bottoms connected with another arrow. When wind spins it, it rattles and moles hate it… so they leave.

This is probably why the standards of so called “ Competitive Archery “ don’t recognize this discipline of archery. It’s too physically demanding for those “ fluffy “ archers choosing NOT to run or walk or have any extra physical involvement in their shooting, other than shooting at a non moving static target. And yes……there are many so called “ elitists “ archers will fail in a survival situation against multiple targets ( foes ). Thanks for sharing brotha , love your content 😎🏹🏹🏹👍
