Just put on nitto ridge grapplers and just had a snow storm with 5 inches of snow and slush everywhere the grapplers were excellent in the snowy slushy slippery conditions super quiet on the highway and beastly through unplowed back roads it’s almost unfair and comical. no complaints. As for people saying they’re not good now that’s hilarious! You either don’t gotem or never had them on your vehicle.

Well I have had em and never want em again. I have had two sets of Nitto Ridge Grapplers on two different trucks and they were absolutely garbage. If you do anything other than highway driving, they fail on rock lease roads within months. Chewed up and chunks taken out. For an "offroad" tire, they are not for me!

@TGLASS24 I tell you what I had a set of 35x12.50r20 toyo RTs and they saw rocky dirt roads all the time (former military on camp Pendleton) and those are truly meant for off road performance. I got almost 50k miles out of those suckers and even in the snow they were awesome. Traction everywhere, those OG RTs are definitely still relevant in today's market

Good info Neal. I tried most of the Hybrid tires including the Yoko X-AT...and went back to a AT tire. The best one I have found to date that does just about everything good from snow, trailering heavy equipment into jobsites and trailering heavy is the Falcon Wildpeak. In the looks department it falls a lil short vs the hybrids but after 20k miles on my 2020 F250 7.3 they don't get as loud.

I went from Toyo mt’s to some ridge grapplers and suddenly I had all these exhaust leaks that I never noticed before. I’ve run a bunch of different at’s and the ridge grapplers are the quietest I’ve ever used. They’re great in snow and slush. Went through mammoth on the 395 a few years back right after a big thanksgiving snow storm and didn’t have any issues. Kept going while many others had to chain up or turn around

The Toyo AT3 and RT Trail are hands down better than the Ridge Grappler. The Ridge Grappler has a bad ass sidewall but that's all. It's TERRIBLE in the mud, snow and any wet conditions on road. I'll probably go back to the Toyo AT3 after my Baja Boss tires wear out since I spend more time on road now.

Amazing video! Couldn't believe I found someone that made a comparison video for the exact 2 tires i was deciding on, ridge grappler and rt trail. After watching this video i decided to give the rt trail a shot. Your personal opinion comment about the trail using a slightly harder compound is what did it for me. I like the looks of the ridge grappler better but in the end if the harder compound can give me some longer-life tread wear than I'm all for the rt trail. Will be running LT295/70/18 on Xd Series Badlands 779 rims with a 2018 Ram 2500..Honestly though either tire is the right choice.

Once I hit half life or 20 or maybe 25k miles I get new ones and put used ones on market place and get 600 to 800 bucks to ease the pain of the new ones. And considering that I have 2 f250’s both with 9’6 high wing v plows and 1.5 yard sanders in the back.these tires are awesome I was gonna try the nitto ridge grapplers but not after reading more negative comments from the actual users but high praise from sellers. How’s the ride noise quality and handling in wet/rainy situations on your Kendra klever rt’s?
@gabrieldalcomune3044
@gabrieldalcomune3044 Жыл бұрын
@@zachhinson3401 I love them in the rain, they don’t step out on you unless you try and braking feels about as good as a jeep can do for being a refrigerator on wheels. Noise wise, they hum but it’s quieter than the wind noise so i wouldn’t say it’s anything crazy. That being said like i said, they’re great for the first bit of life but i’ve consistently had issues with balancing and overnight they seem to develop a flat spot that vibrates the jeep a little when cold. Once the tires warm up it’s fine

@@zachhinson3401 I don’t have them. But I’ve never heard a bad thing about them. They are just as good if not better than ridge grapplers and about $500 less for a set

Ridge Grapplers are a good tire for looks, ride and longevity. But aren't very good in snow and slick conditions.

You must have your Nitto RG on a Toyota Corolla. I have a 2500, and can’t get over 40,000 miles. But I do tow.

I've never heard that, worked at tire shop years ago , buddy wore a set of Nitto out in 30k kms, they were mud grappler but definitely not impressed by this tire,toyo cost more ,but last longer, Toyo makes good tires

@@MMikeHD3904 I’m completely convinced that some tires are lemons and I’d imagine that all it takes is just a little bit off on their process to turn a good tire a not so good tire. I also firmly believe that frequent rotation and the way you drive has as much as anything to do with tire life as the quality of the tire. I ended up going with Toyo RT, have about 6000 miles on them and so far, I’m not seeing any noticeable wear on them. One positive note, the road noise is much much less then what I had become accustom to with the nitro tire. We’ll see about winter driving, hoping they preform better on ice and snow as their reviews say…

Toyo RT are the ugliest expensive tires you can buy. The RT Trail looks pretty good though. I run 35" Ridge Grapplers on my truck and love them. I also run 34" Recon Grapplers on my wife's Suburban. They are both ultra-premium tires and ride very quiet and smooth on the road.

Ive had the og open country r/t. awful tire. Loud and rides terrible. the sidewall is wayyy to stiff. The ridge grapplers have been my go to. Especially for load range E. Tread life seemed to be about the same between them.
