I fail to not relate to a single one of these. Each one for me is 99% relatable and accurate for me, and not just recently. All my life I’ve kept away from most other humans, stayed in the dark for ages blasting my metal music for ages on end, and only having 5 hours of sleep. I need to rethink existence.

I think a huge improvement that could be made to these videos is to offer 1 or 2 possible solutions to the problems in these list videos. I love these videos so much and I think it would be great if they also provided some solutions you might not think about. Example: for the sleeping with the covers over your head, if you like the feeling of covers over your head but don’t want the negative effects of cutting off oxygen, consider a separate blanket, ear muffs, blindfold, or something like a scarf to cover your face without covering your nose and mouth.

this explains so mcuh why im a drain bamaged mormon that can hardly think straight most of teh time. i never eat breakfast, when i do it's usually sugar-laden junk i never socialize. i hate the lights My sleep schedule is non existent I sit in a chair looking at a screen all day at work and barely move, scrolling through toxic social media feeds. The only thing I don't do is blasting headphones - I like it just loud enough to be audible over ambient noise.

about the no-breakfast habit: if you are not having any breakfast in the morning, just wake up and eat something. anything. as little as you want. so for example, maybe just have a quick candy - convenient and fast (candies aren't good for breakfast, but we're just trying to create a new habit here). eventually, level up your game by eating more. for example, have a toast (something with pastry) or some small fruit (bananas, some slices of prepared watermelon, you name it). eventually, you will reach a state where if you don't have breakfast every morning, your stomach will get extremely uncomfortable, and the only way to solve it is to have breakfast - and then you'll be forced (by your body) to eat something first thing in the morning

Great pointers, I agree with most, but not with the skipping breakfast thing.. The body has plenty of energy/fat reserved from previous days, unless you've been fasting (which is also great for you if done sensibly! I fasted 'til 5pm today and feel amazing). I wouldn't discourage someone from eating breakfast without knowing their full context, but if you just don't fancy having one, chances are you really don't need one, just drink water (and/or maybe sodium if you're a morning exerciser)

1. Staying in the dark too much -Oh, I love doing that. It feels so calm when I'm alone in the dark and listen to classic songs. 2. Consuming too much negative news -I don't know what is too much. I guess I don't 🤔 3. Blasting headphones -Do that all the time at school... 4. Social isolation -Why it has to be bad for our brains 🥺 I don't like spending time with the social events. 5. Too much screen -100% me. That's why I'm here 🤣 6. Consuming too much sugar -Nope. I don't like sweet. Finally, I have some good habits. 7. Skipping breakfast -I've done it all my life... 8. You're barely moving -I know I shouldn't do this but I'm still too lazy. 9. Poor sleep habits -Me in every holiday Looks like I do something that damage my brain a lot. I should change some of them before it's too late. Well, except for social isolation. I like being alone sometimes.

@iamahuman6418
@iamahuman6418 4 жыл бұрын
@zakrita oseba about the darkness. I am pretty sure staying in the dark for too long can affect your brain. My teacher said that without enough sun exposure, your serotonin levels can dip low. Low levels of serotonin are associated with a higher risk of major depression with seasonal pattern. skipping breakfast or eating a low quality breakfast have a negative effect on cognitive function, thus resulting in a decline in brain excitability, the emergence of a slow response and a reduction in attention. friends. well I am used to being alone so idk about that. bad news.im a pessimist so i dont mind Prolonged exposure to loud noise alters how the brain processes speech, potentially increasing the difficulty in distinguishing speech sounds, according to neuroscientists. Exposure to intensely loud sounds leads to permanent damage of the hair cells, which act as sound receivers in the ear. Once damaged, the hair cells do not grow back, leading to noise-induced hearing loss. Idk about you but if my senses of hearing was taken away from me, i would be devastated i felt bad for you to hear someone who said that last line. have you talked to them about that ?
