I'm TOTALLY going to use a scent. I am very driven by smells. I write out my intentions by stating them as Today, I hope that or Today, I set these intentions. I write down the quality of the experiences and internal environment I hope to experience. I am focusing a lot lately on accepting the now and don't fight life...go with the flow. I am finding that I am getting more of the tasks done on my list as a biproduct. I used to create a task list and beat myself up when I started running out of energy. Now, I am lighter, softer and focus on the experience rather than the outcome. Thanks for everything Laura!!

We got standing desks at work and they are a dream. Now that I am home with mom helping her through chemo I just stand in a regular chair but will probably update my set up!

I just ordered a monitor stand to lift my eyes - thank you for the tip. Really appreciate the scientific reason why it's helpful/important to lift our eyes for increased focus and productivity.

I think the key point number one is to actually have a few goals for the day. Some goals are small and can be done in matter of minutes or hours. Other goals takes time and is done over the time span of months and even years (an education for instance). Surprisingly many starts the day without any proper goals, and then they only will be working like headless chickens. Where do you want to go? What is your long/short term goals? What do you need to get from A to B? Answer those questions, and I think the other stuff will fall into place by itself.

Informative and inspiring content as always! I start my days with a 10 (around the park across the street) - 45 minute walk (through a nature reserve) because 1) bright light and 2) nature time and 3) physical activity boost. Part of my reason for doing this goes back to your 5k for 30 days challenge you did! My work time is in the afternoon and I either change into my work uniform (a specific shirt) or walk to the library to set up my office away from home. I find these physical changes result in a mindset change as well. My computer has multiple accounts set up for different kinds of work I do on it: personal, Unplugged Fun, and Sunbury Connects. Each of my businesses is a different mindset and outcome so it's good to turn one off before moving to the other rather than just toggling over. Social media, YT, and everything personal is in the personal area and blocked in the other areas. And yes, it is so easy to plan, replan, edit the plan, buy a planner, buy another planner, ad nauseum. In the end, all that really matters is what money-making work did I get done today. I may make a sign/poster "Get over the 6-minute threshold before changing tasks.".

Awesome points as usual LT! I kept my routine during COVID when I worked from home. The only difference was I would wear sweat pants or shorts…. Everything else was the same as if I was heading to the office. Later, I decided to re-think each routine. I changed or deleted half of them as needed. It’s good to re-evaluate things in your life to stay relevant and fresh. Your last point about “Just get on with it” reminded me of the last of 3 things I learned while riding my motorcycle. 1) Pay attention! 2) Don’t panic! 3) Ride through it! The latter came to me as I approached debris on the highway at 70MPH in the middle lane, surrounded by cars. As I approached the shredded truck (lorry) tires, they were strewn out in such a manner I could easily navigate around them. The point of “Ride through it” means to meet the challenge…it’s probably not as bad or hard as you think. Like you said…just get on with it! Great video Laura!!! 😊❤

👏👏👏👏👏I just wanted to let you know, I watched this video yesterday and today I've been kind of procrastinating on doing things I know I wanna do. Not necessarily what I have to do, but what I want to do. And I've been kind of procrastinating this last couple days just kind of in a bla sort of mind and an idea that you put forward. In your last video, this video that 6 minutes into it, you really start to get in the zone. That is so true. You just have to go one step at a time for the first couple minutes and then after like the six minute mark, then you're in the zone and you're doing what you want to do. Thank you for that. Thank for you identifying that. Is a thing. It made me look at it in a completely different way. And it totally works. All you have to do is start, get past the six minute mark, more or less, and you're in there.👏👏👏👏

I do enjoy the tips (I actually put my iPad on a box while you mentioned the eyeline tip), but having mastered the last tip, I find it will always be the absolute most important (and I guess the most difficult for many). Just do the thing. “Motivation” (a concept I struggle to understand) is internal. Just make the list and then do the list. Thanks for the fun video!

I've completely changed my work set- up - bought a riser for my desktop and an orb for "sunlight" in the morning. Regarding scent, I use a pink grapefruit diffuser as well as a room spray at the start of my work day; however, now I'm thinking about it more intentionally as a ritual. Thank you so much for your videos - they're making a diffference. I wishing more followers, as your content is excellent. BTW, I went to a StretchLab in NJ based on your video and have told them about it. I have loved the experience of assisted stretching so far.

15 min of sprinting or 25 min of moderate exercise first thing after waking up and then a quick alternating cold and hot shower does wonders for focus for me. Focusing and getting on with what I need to do after. Is pretty much effortless for about 3 to 4 hours after that.
