That Larry David story he tells in the beginning, about yelling at his boss and quitting, then regretting it and pretending it didn't happen, and his boss didn't either. Happened to me,...one day after years of taking shit from my boss, I had it up to my eyebrows, and I screamed at him and quit in the middle of my shift. I left before lunch time and didn't return for 2 days. On the 3rd day I went back to my job and went back to my position as if I hadn't called my boss an asshole, and walked out. My boss never said anything and he and I continued to work together for another 15 years. When I retired I asked my boss about it. He said "he thought I just went on my lunch break early". ( Obviously he was lying) I guess he liked my work and me, enough to let the whole incident slide. (Or maybe he knew he was acting like an asshole), and accepted that I finally got mad enough to tell him off. Who knows?

Great interview! I freaking love Larry David. I've watched every Seinfeld episode enough times that I can quote most of them verbatim, yet they still make me laugh every time. Unfortunately don't have HBO right now, but I will find a way to watch more Curb soon.

I’m the same way with Seinfeld. I bet there are episodes I’ve seen over 100 times. Girl hope you figure out a way to watch Curb, you’d love it...

SNL should do a skit were Larry plays Bernie and JB Smoove is with him as a campaign rep to get the black vote. Either that or he meets George Jefferson and they complete each other's sentences.

It's so true that comedy is cathartic! I'm grieving for a loved one taken by Covid and...actually my marriage also taken by Covid. All I do, while not working or entertaining the kinds, is watch stuff that makes me laugh and feel good.

So very sorry for your loss; your grief. My Mom passed away several years ago and I stayed with my Father- from that point on. He worked every day but when he got home we watched Seinfeld and then the Curb series. Over dinner we would HOWL... uncontrollably! It really did help with the grief in that it forged a bond between us that -due to his parental obligations- we'd been unable to enjoy so many years earlier. We became best buddies! The shared glee was monumentally cathartic; cherished by us at a time when we needed happiness, desperately. I was doing some volunteering in 2003 and met Larry at my local library. My Dad was so grateful I introduced him to Larry & both of his magical series. We grew up watching the Golden Age of Comedy. So, yeah...we too know the good stuff. Best Wishes.
