I have never played Dota 2, but perhaps It's also a Good Game. And League Of Legends has one of the best Series of this decade: Arcane, besides it has an incredible OST and Animation.

In Colombia currently many people are very interested in learning English, this was not the case in past years but now everything is so different, people discovered the importance of speaking another language, because languages are the keys to open other worlds. Welcome to the Coffeeland ☕

This is exactly how I feel personally as a native English only speaker, about Spanish. Ok, don't get me wrong lol I mean, as a high school student, I attempted to learn Spanish, but it didn't take 😢 😂 However, all these years later, I'm just starting to realize how interconnected a lot of languages are.. As someone once explained something to me, they are the same but different 🤷😅

Some context, in Colombia that kind of chair is something different from a regular chair, and it's usually called "SILLÓN" not "SILLA", so it is easy to confuse it with coach or sofa

The best teacher of all. But I think that ... I think that the level of English in Colombia is not very high because of the way it is taught in the country's schools... but now we have more possibilities with Internet sources. Like, for example, your KZbin channel. I hope you continue visiting us, see you later in another city 😅

Wow, this is a useful video! I am glad to know that you are visiting Colombia. I learned English 9 years ago in an institute called Colombo Americano in Medellin. I had a great experience because I did not only learn English, but I felt like I was visiting the U.S.A due to the way the Institute was built, also the teachers taught us the culture of that country, for example the Black month history, among others. Now I wish to visit the city again to continue practicing English while I meet new people from all over the world and also learning more of their cultures. Greetings! ;)

Perhaps it would be adequate to consult the available data before mention Colombian education is not good regarding English level, you have to take into account the relevant aspect of autonomous learning each pupil must carry on by themselves to reinforce what it has been taught in class; English teachers do not make miracles...

School doesn't teach you how a native speaker would say it. A native speaker would just say chair
@Yamanan.
@Yamanan. 5 ай бұрын
@@AfroKing. As a native English speaker (USA), I would call that an armchair. Specifically the one that he showed that looks like a mix between a couch and a chair. But, I would understand chair. It's just if I wasn't looking at it and you said chair I wouldn't picture it looking like that unless you explained it's in your living room or something. I would even understand it if they said couch/sofa like most did in the video, but chair is definitely better, and armchair is perfect.
@AfroKing.
@AfroKing. 5 ай бұрын
@Yamanan. How old are you, though? I don't know anyone my age that says armchair. We just say chair. I hear older people say it, though. Yes I'm from America as well.
@Yamanan.
@Yamanan. 5 ай бұрын
26. If I was in the room I'd say chair, but if someone said armchair I'd know exactly which type of chair they meant. It was interesting in the video because I actually thought shoes when he showed the sneakers. So I went less specific for those but I guess everyone has their own preferred words. @@AfroKing.

I was waiting for this video. I'm from Medellín, Colombia and I was checking out the English of Colombians but let me tell you that people from Medellín speak English with a strong accent. We learn American English because American English is the most studied language in Latin America because the United States is a nearby country. There are too many foreigners here who are from the United States and Canada. Sadly, Colombia is one of the countries with a low English level because of low economic resources because academics are so expensive and private English teachers charge too much money . Another big problem is the people who speak Spanish only. I prefer English than Spanish because obviously English open many doors to social and economic life. Thank you for coming to Medellín.

I'm from the US and have always heard tennis shoes here not sneakers. Must be a regional thing

If they had said tennis shoes, I would have accepted, but for me, shoes by themselves are 👞

Yes it’s regional. From my understanding “sneakers” is an up north thing. Most of the country says “tennis shoes” and then there a certain areas in the Midwest like Chicago that say “gym shoes.”

I can’t speak for the UK, but here in America there’s a nonstandard pronunciation and variation in spelling of mischievous as “mischievious.” Although incorrect, many people including former US president Herbert Hoover on record, pronounce it this way with 4 syllables and stress on the “chi” like this: mis-chē-vē-es. You may hear this pronunciation in American media which could cause confusion.
