Another uplifting video. Absolutely nothing not to love about it. Charming house, beautiful grounds, lots of animals that are obviously loved and even gluten-free goodies. 💕💕💕 There is nothing that can compare to the exposed handhewn beams in these buildings that are hundreds of years old. It is so impressive that good craftsmanship not only stands the test of time but still outshines modern construction. It would be a dream come true to live in one of these. Dorset my old home! We lived in an ancient thatched cottage. It had two very large fireplaces in the drawing room and to my horror in autumn big spiders used to come through the chimney. When my husband was in camp I got the neighbour to remove it! 😱😂

Delightful, quirky, down to earth. (Could tell it was a great pleasure for you, Kirsten). That's a home... full of colour and life. Understand, I think, Emma's point about the bones of the place. She was so lovely...warm and welcoming. Her cottage industry looks such good quality and a labour of love...it definitely meets a need. I'm sensitive to gluten and so many early gf products were indeed dry and crumbly. So good to know the standard and availability keeps improving - your vlog has played a part in that. I love old English cottages. So ethereally pretty! I’ve tried to make my American home, English style (I’m from U.K.) but it looks so cluttered as my family have stated many times! These cottages are so charming inside and out.There’s definitely an art to decorate a cozy cottages. Loved the gluten free food, an amazing business . I love every minute of this video. It is really like Beatrix Potter and Alice in Wonderland. The windows seat would probably be my Favoriten place too. I really enjoyed this video. So much to love about England, but what I admire most of all is how they have managed to preserve their old buildings and houses. We can only dream of ever coming across something this old here in Malaysia. She has truly made this place her own whilst maintaining the old character of the house. I can answer the thatched roof question actually! My grandad used to know how to thatch (very rare trade knowledge now) I believe every 8 years it has to be stripped to the first base layer of the last worker and then re thatched what is interesting the first base layer is kept I believe so you have one layer every 8 years that is kept from every thatcher who has done the roof! But onto of the base layer of thatch there are then several layers of thatch (which is usually woven together by the thatcher) that creates a water proofing for the house!
