Okay so this is NOT the same as Anulom Vilom, right? Because in Anulom Vilom the breath-pattern is "Exhale-Inhale-Change----Exhale-Inhale-Change". And here you demonstrated "Inhale-Exhale-Change------Inhale-Exhale-Change". So I am guessing these are two separate paranyam techniques (but you know sometimes in other videos they call Anulom Vilom as Nadi Shuddhi which, as shown here, is different). Pranamam, Sadhguru and Team! Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was searching for! Especially as a grad student with lots of work pressure, I needed this relaxation. Sending regards from India and Seattle, Washington.

Sadhguru also has said, cleansening the elements remain, you do not fall back from that even if you stopped doing it. He included this in cleansening the air element, yet also it clears the energy channels,,, little bit confused about this subject... I am also so very thankful for these videos from the bottom of my heart.

It is very useful. But i find it difficult to breath through one nostril (right side for me), which makes it impossi le for me to breath wothout noise I also get a feel of loss of breath when i do through the right nostril. What does it mean? I just started doing this yoga. Will it get corrected by doing regularly? Why does it happen in the first place. Somebody please explain. Thanks.

What purpose does this hand placement or mudra serve? Why is it designed for the thumb and ring finger to occluded the nostrils? What other mudra variations are utilized in alternate nostril breathing?
@adhirajraghav7548 Жыл бұрын
There are many types of alternate nostril breathings. Some need initiations some don't and some done directly under a master's guidance. It's just the different mudras used which changes the way they effect the system. BTW I looked up somewhere else, it's referred to as vishnu mudra. You can look up for it yourself

I have a problem with my fingers when I do this. If anybody can explain how to fix it - pls tell
@GourSmith Жыл бұрын
It’s because your knuckles and wrists (and forearms and arms and shoulders) aren’t flexed and stretched properly. So the basic Isha practice that would help is “Upa Yoga”. It’s free on KZbin. Next level up would be Angamardana.

Almost everyone who hasn't practiced before faces this 😅😅. You can jog on spot with mouth closed for 2-3 mins before practice or include some vigorous exercise in your daily life. They should help. With time you won't be needing these but till then..
@dorothyg6269 Жыл бұрын
I thought you started on an exhale, then inhale… switch sides. Exhale then inhale, switch sides. Exhale then inhale, switch sides. Etc, etc. Start on left nostril for calming. Start on right nostril for energy. Is this not right? This video is starting with the inhale… I’m confused.

That's a different practice.
