I love the way you explain these things for us to understand the benefits of why we are doing what we are doing so that we can be in tune with it and do it with purpose. This is so amazing and we need more energy like yours in the world to become a better place!! You have really proved that "change starts with us." I'm watching this after I prayed Fajr " dawn prayer for Muslims " and I love how I'm learning meditation and doing it while praying it's such a great feeling :) because sometimes I feel like I can't get up and pray because we have certain times of praying so I needed to have that deep rooted feeling of consistency Edit: Ramadan mubarak everyone 🌿💜

As a Hindu, this is what inspires me the most about Islam: having dedicated times for praying. I think it's such a practical way to integrate mindfulness and meditation in the day
@ameragalal69763 жыл бұрын
I love this! Can you tell me how you incorporate meditation in salah? Do you do it during or before/after.
@thejourney1113 жыл бұрын
Thank you for commenting, I'll tell you what I do .. when I started praying from 1 and half years ago I was doing it like autopilot there wasn't any difference, I started to ask myself I should come out of salah feeling better , relaxed and calmer why am i feeling like it's something I supposed to do to obey Allah (God) but I don't have that connection .. and Salah means connection. . So I started to focus more on my breathing before I pray and prepare my soul and while I'm praying I focus on every word I say and disconnect from any other thought that comes into my mind , after rakaat ركعة , we normally thank Allah so I try to focus on what I'm really grateful for right now , and after I finish I let everything that's bothering me goes away like wind .. It is not an easy thing to do but because it's essential in everything you're doing in your life you need to put your full awareness and focus into it in order to get the best results you need and that peaceful feeling you want :).. I hope that was helpful.
@ameragalal69763 жыл бұрын
Subhanallah! Great tips. I too have been trying to establish salah more consistently and I noticed that the moments where I am focused on every word I’m saying I feel so much more at peace and ease when I’m finished. When I’m just “trying to get it done” I feel rushed and a little anxious at the end of it. I know that I haven’t maximized the benefits of salah when I am rushed. I also try to be thankful when I am in sujood, but I’m going to try what you said about taking a few moments to breathe and be present BEFORE I start my salah inshallah.

Loving your videos and loving your tips and tricks to make these practices more realistic for the everyday practice. I have practiced yoga for ten years now and only just recently made the connection to mindful yoga where it is a prayer and every breathe brings me to greater connection to my body. Yes yoga is good exercise, it is good for weight loss, energy levels, and better sleep.... but when you truly connect breath to movement in a practice it is so beautiful🌻like a flower blooming, and the transformation is so inspiring to go deeper. A big hurtle for me to overcome was “self care is selfish acts” I am a mom and a business owner and a farmer and the thought to give myself 20 minutes every day was the hardest part. But I am to the point now where if I don’t give myself at least 20 min I feel like I didn’t give myself a huge part of my happiness, weird to discuss but I notice the difference in my soul the whole day. My daily mindful practice is opening up a whole rabbit whole of what else can I do to fill my cup?! Because that is what this is, filling your cup so you have something to give your children, partner, work, all of it. If you are only giving..... you run out of energy to give and that is when we become depressed or sad and not know why. And then before we know it we are sharing our bad energy and bad feelings with the people we love the most. And when we give ourself the time to care for “self” we teach others (our children) how to do these things and how much they matter!! Real life life skills !!! Yes start with one thing and the ripple effect happens and let it flow ❤️ share your light with others and let all energy flow and you will inspire others to do the same!! Namaste 🙏

We muslims , our first prayer is before rising of the sun and we do it to connect to god , and in prayer we recite qur’an which is so heart warming and we maintain a good posture the whole time. Through out the day, in total we pray for 5times and as you said it really helps us to get back to stay focused.
