I’ll defend the Spider-man Symbiote suit and the tendon musculature design it has going. To me, it sets him apart from Venom’s physique, the lines sort of emulate his webbing in a way, and the way the light catches the gaps/ridges looks pretty nice to me. It’s like the Symbiote is reflecting certain aspects of the character. Venom prioritizes raw power while Spider-man usually relies on his speed. Spider-man’s black suit looks more designed to amplify the speed while Venom shows off the strength. Side note: The Anti-Venom suit makes me think of Edge of Time when he’s forced into a monstrous form

Something I find funny about Venom in this game is that, like the Hulk where it’s Banner in cutscenes, in all cutscenes Eddie is there instead of Venom. That’s fine, but during the final battle when everyone is geared up in their Midnight Suns outfits and even the DLC crew is there, they didn’t program Venom to appear instead of Eddie (unlike the Hulk) so everyone is in this shiny gold hellfire armor and then there’s just a dude in a tanktop and jeans.

I'm kinda tired of Hulk Venom. He looks way better as a normal, really buff dude. That way, he's closer to Spider-Man and represents the "evil Spidey" idea that he was always supposed to be. I know he's grown out of that role and become an antihero, but still, he doesn't need to be Hulk sided. And they should get rid of the toes too, they're so unnecessary xD Love your videos man!

They really should’ve leaned into the ‘90s looks of everyone for their costumes. I mean, Midnight Sons was a ‘90s line, may as well lean in that ‘90s stuff; especially since the only people that even knew what the Midnight Sons were (or really more specifically cared about the Midnight Sons) going into this game were people that were around in the ‘90s to read the comics. Spider-Man’s default is kind of interesting since it seems they’re trying to blind Spider-Man’s normal look with aspects of Ben Reilly’s ‘90s look. Seems they would’ve been better off just doing regular Spider-Man, 2099, (2099 has that skull, it’d fit in well with the whole Midnight Suns horror thing) Scarlet Spider, the the ‘90s armor. Morbius is odd, the way they made him look here he looks less like Morbius and more like that Morbius knockoff B Negative (had to look that up, was thinking his name was B Positive) from the failed New New Warriors comic that I don’t think ever ended up happening. Morbius looks more monstrous in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 than he does in this horror themed Marvel game. It weird to see the characters fall into a kind of obscurity given there was a time in the ‘90s when he was one of Marvel’s more well known and liked characters... mostly because of the ‘90s Spider-Man cartoon.

Well more like Spidey and his amazing friend and the not-vampire that said friend vouches for. Morbius is actually a really fun character, its just that like Cloak and Dagger Morbius shines more in a team than on his own. Its a shame that despite making a good team and playing off each other well in the 90s, Morbius doesn't appear in the Mike, Donny or Al runs of Venom. Onto the costumes, I also miss 90s blue Venom but I do like the alt costumes more. (I'm glad to see Toxin get some love) With Anti-Venom in particular being my second favorite skin to use with Venom, since I love Eddie's time as Anti-Venom.

Something not often talked about is that it's incredibly hard to have a symbiote suit that fits the narrative of the books in "real life" (or a game) It needs to look cohesive with venom too, his mouth and features infer something organic like skin or goo like the symbiote. But when peter has it, it's meant to look the same/ similar but going too gross is contradictory to how it's used narratively. The insomniac one I like but it's too... disgusting. Same with that concept of Tom Holland, that is just not right. This musculature inspired armour I love, in terms of realistic designs of the symbiote it's probably my favourite as iit isn't too human, too gross and alien but it's just really slick. The sm3 black suit looks slick, alien but not too much so but if you remove the webbing that design could be really boring and plain. But a sheen or fabric like that, just darker with the classic logos would be perfect.

I like how in the Insomniac game it starts out as more armor-like (and even just straight up armor with basically no organic elements, if we go a bit further back and consider the suit Harry has at the start) and only evolves to look more organic later on Makes Venom look like the final step of a natural progression

I personally think that Venom’s midnight sun outfit looks really messy. The chest design is really distracting and I can’t really get by the gold texture which blends too much with the wetness of the symbiote. All in all, I’d probably give it a 4/10
