Ben Sasse: "I don't mind lookin' dumb". Hard to argue with that! Frankly, I was floored to hear the details of his resume. And it's hard to argue with that also. As a native Nebraskan I understand that who Nebraskans are is often times hidden below the surface but Sasse has always struck me as pretty unremarkable. His frustration of the agenda that Republican voters put forth in 2016 only enhances that impression for me. But, I guess, if you've spent and extended period of time at Harvard and Yale and continued to work with people in those circles you would quite naturally come to adopt the globalist worldview of your peers. As a trained economist I know I did, and it took many years to begin to overcome that arrogance.
