That Marcus Miller sound was always best with those DR strings (Fatbeams MM Signature) for the first 2 weeks after putting the strings on. Just something about those DR's.

Yes I'm sure it's the best sounding bass ever thanks to Marcus Miller for making this bass in Japan, but I have the Sire sounds all that too. Sometimes that's a lie to say it's the player and not the instrument, I just say it takes both talent and skills to play bass.

I have the 5 string American version have had it more than 10 years, I did have to change the pups and pre a few times it now has a Bart pre and Aggie NC pups but my only issue with it is my B and E string sounds a lil muffled in bass tone not as clear as it was before I changed the electronics or maybe my ear has evolved some lol, but the change was made years ago different combos but the current combo is what I like but need to know if the B and E string should have that muffled bass tone.

Too much work? I know he could if he wanted to.
@64jazz4 жыл бұрын
They all come pre wired so there's no extra work involved, it just depends on what the customer/you request. I opted for the one w/active/passive push/pull, a passive tone control, and a 3 way mids mini toggle.

Hey JLong, a guy is telling me he can change/improve the sound of my bass just by changing the resistors and capacitors in the existing preamp. Do you buy that? I know you've been doing this for a while and just wanted to hear if that's some snake oil.
