That would be great, but the underlying conditions that created the appeal for Trump haven't gotten better and the Democratic ticket hasn't promised to address them-nor can they really, without some serious changes to the way America operates as a nation. I think the best case scenario is that we get one or two calm election cycles before the GOP regroups and tries to find a replacement for Trump as the figurehead.

@@andrewpirr let’s start by using the phrase “colored” also when I hear a man say “females” instead of women or literally any other humanizing word, I know where their head is. You don’t need to lynch someone on camera and post it before one can determine your prejudices. Words have meaning and the words you choose reveal something about your inner subconscious. It’s not only just the words he used though, more importantly, its the ease in which they rolled of his tongue. “Colored” hasn’t been used colloquially since Jim Crow.

There you have it, the Nikki Haley voter. Despite all the humiliating song and dance that Harris did to appeal to them, the best he could do was write in a name. It's half a vote. Meanwhile, Trump is full on converting former Democratic voters from the working class to his side, that's twice the vote. Appealing to the Nikki Haley voter was just not an effective strategy. You'd have to do 4x the work to get a comparable result. There weren't even enough of them to swing it. Tough.
