Hey john, just want to pass along some thoughts, been a long time fan of yours have your books going back before ytube became popular. When you got your boat and filmed those videos i could really relate having an 85 17, sea, nymph with a 90 hp. I'm retired with ss and a pension. I love your videos on your boat but now it seems they are all on ricks, docs, or jigging jerk boat out at montauk. Like one of those 300 yamaha is like my fishing budget for 10 years maybe more. It's getting kinda boring catching all those big fluke for us guys without the means that those guys have. Just something that has been bothering me and wanted to get it off my chest. Ha, you tend to notice those things when you watch a video a dozen times or so, mining for every nugget of useable info. It is really beautiful, and the action seems to be spot on. It's a near-perfect prototype. It's actually the third prototype. I won't let them make it until it's perfect. I switched back right after the first big fish hoping to get a good one on both rods so I could study the videos of how the rods performed with fish on.

Too many people don't get that. The guy on the rod has way more control over the situation than the guy on the net. The two big fish I had this trip are good examples of what the guy on the rod should do - drive the fish into the net and don't stop the forward motion.

Because we've done it before, and I've done it numerous times. Killies, peanut bunker, snappers... The rapid jigging wins. Anyone my age grew up fishing bait for these fish.
