At the age of 16 my mother asked me did I know who's going to save me, I told her yes, two or three hours later I went into my bedroom and asked Christ into my life and to save me. I am 59 now and the Lord has never forsaken me.

This verifies what's been happening at work for me. I'm a nurse and have been praying for an opportunity to share the gospel with my patients and their families, so I ask the Lord to lead me and guide me in the things that I should say. So far I have not been led to confront and preach the gospel, but rather to make simple statements of truth here and there that come up naturally in the course of conversation. There's no awkwardness there. It makes perfect sense in light of Jesus' conversation with the woman at the well!

I am also a nurse and have seeked opportunities to share. I have had a completely confused patient that had to be restrained for his safety, hardly being able to understand him just stop in his confusion and tell me the gospel and ask me if I knew Jesus. It was one of those moments I stopped, had butterflies and a rush of adrenaline and said “what did you say?” Because even before I got to register what he was saying, I knew it was from God. It was great! I really think that God will give clarity and encourage you when needed. Sometimes it’s as simple as asking to pray for someone when they are desperate for their health. Fortunately, nursing is one of those professions where we take care of the broken and sick, so it is a great time to share even if a little! 😊

So Amen and Amen. As an ex-atheist, God Himself answered me (no one else could tell me anything:). Then, He gently led me to the gospel... It only took one look at my friend's face, the glow and peace, that made me determined to know Jesus for myself, and by myself one night, Jesus came into my life. I wish we all understood what Greg and Melissa are sharing. "It's not on us. It's Him". I found time and again we have to be sensitive to the other, and listen to His Spirit, not ours.

My wish is to one day meet this man. I'm sure he will make me even more humble that he is! It sounds like anyone can have a fantastic conversation with him and he will make them feel like they are the only person on the planet that God loves so dearly. Greg you are a great gardener in God's glorious garden. How apt that is seeing that we started in Eden. May our loving and just Creator bless all that you do. It is clear that you love Jesus with all your heart.

It was through Koukl that I discovered apologetics, and through him, I managed to changed several mistakes in my theology. I've been taking the last few years off from apologetics while confronting other issues but have recently gotten back into it. It is good to see that he is still around.

I ordered it today and I am looking forward to being able to plant seeds for Christ..my job is my mission field and so is my husband. I want to plant seeds at my work for Christ. It is up to the Holy Spirit to make them grow..I am so thankful that He is the one carrying the greater burden then I..Thank you Melissa. this has helped me so much just by watching this video.

As a Christian I almost gave up my faith due to how other Christians in my life talked to me. Utterly outrageous, good thing God is not like that and he definitely went out of his way, to make sure I did not loose my faith because of that! We are to discern not condemn others, and similarly we garden, God harvests!

I've been so afraid of the idea of evangelism. I washeasitant to even watch this video because of fear of conviction and anxiety. But man. This is the first time I've heard a message about evangelism and I dont feel overwhelming fear and anxiety. Its consistent with the relational nature of our faith and this is an encouraging word. Thank you for helping me and others break out of the immobilizing fear of doing and being a hard core evangelist. I appreciate this so much

Beautiful as that Samaritan woman settings to receive another Joseph's son but also briefly to recount here how'd that a Garden been long after Jacob's clan left a well back there if Jesus's disciples could now take a short cut to J'salem yet not without Fire & brimstone first fallen on them before Christ's paid ultimate price so post harvests too Who'll benefit from it all must Finally make sense to us...

Disagree with "God's sovereingty" as a reason to not lose sleep over sharing the gospel with a dying hell-bound world. Once again Calvin and his heresy rears his ugly head. Man DOES have a responsibility while God is, was, and always will remain sovereign. Look up Ravi Zacharias and hear his statements on this matter. I'll search and see if I can find it and link below. We must take all scripture into account. Both sides of this issue are in error because it's simply not complete.
@MelissaDougherty4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm not a calvinist 🙂 I think maybe I wasn't clear and my point was misunderstood. I simply.was saying that after all these years I've learned to trust God. For He is in control and sovereign, and I trust Him 🙂 when I learned to not worry and rely on God, it was very freeing.

@@MelissaDougherty I wanted to say I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions instead of just asking you to clarify first. I'm learning not to do that. I grew my first tooth in word of faith and my first 6 1/2 years were in that church, so I've developed this tendency to jump at the first sign of what I perceive as a red flag.

My mens group has used this book and the videos this last quarter. It has been an amazing help in how to approach people in a way to put that simple stone in their shoe. Give people just something they have to think about, and then get together at another time to find out what they thought about in a non argumentative way. Of course there are always the pigheaded. The stone just may have to become a boulder. Thanks for this video.
