Thanks for touching on the importance of WHO is doing the eating in mukbang videos being an important factor in how it's received. Fatphobia can make it really embarrassing to be seen eating food at all when you're in public. As an overweight teen, it took me a long time to feel comfortable eating in public alone, because I was worried about people viewing me as being sinful and greedy, for simply eating a meal to sustain myself. I can only imagine the toll it has taken on women and girls.

5:54 we have this in the "Swahili belt" of Africa but different. Colloquially we call it _kalia chapo_ translated to _sitting on the chapati_ where menstruating women prepare chapati dough then sit on it bare bottom letting their menstrual blood flow onto it, finish preparing and cooking them then serve to the man they want (to keep or to get) and it gets them their man. There's also different love/loyalty portions around here like for our illicit brews (tembo, busaa, chang'aa, muratina, waragi, kumikumi etc) they shave their pubic hare and mix them with the cooking brew to Nan and keep their customers faithful. It's gross especially considering they'll wear panties for days and throw it on there too. I thought the Mukbang ASMR was supposed to make people hungry. I watch them to encourage my deadbeat appetite, I dabble in cooking and saw a jjajang dish. It was jjang in a rice paper, I added a fried egg to make it easier for me to eat (not sure how that works but never look a gift horse in the mouth as they say) .
