Also sorry for the reverb of the video we're watching. We are working out the process to improve the sound! We wanted to avoid headphones but might be necessary. We didnt want to use the podcast set as its a bit awkward with how far apart we sit.

Your amazing editing skills are still amazing at 17:41 when you have the same shot in PIP. 🤣 I like this idea too. It gives you guys a chance to do something low-effort, and it's an amusing look back for those of us who came in later to the game. So it's a win-win.

I have been with your channel since the beginning. I miss your old house office, then your garage, then the best setup that you had in that storage area with the stairs….then the okay area you have now. I remember all the times that you ALWAYS got zapped by unboxing cases ( Fractal Node cases in case you want to look that up ) and when COCONUTMUNKY ( Nick ) left….and came back. It’s been a wild ride for sure.

I think I found your channel back in late 2012 or early 2013. I don't remember how long ago the videos were, but the "Will It Cool" videos where you took different liquids and put them in a cooling loop to see how well they cool vs standard deionized water. That was back when you were still in your garage. The "Will It Cool" were some of my favorite videos from years ago.

Freakin' hilarious! I definitely think you should drop one of these every now and then - maybe as a compare and contrast from "back then" to now from a tech standpoint. I really love retro computers and that includes the old DOS and Windows 95 stuff. Watching you guys react to the progress would be a fun excursion from the usual content. Plus, for anyone wanting to do KZbin on a more serious basis, they could learn what it takes to be successful. Regardless, loved this and hope to see more!

Great thing about watching something that far back is if you were around then you can really enjoy it. For those that weren't around or didn't go through it then really strikes them odd. It's great to see what old trends still live up and what went by the wayside. Keep looking back from time to time.

It's always fun to see how CC's start out, and the rawness of the early efforts. In this case though the fun was amplified because we see examples of how far some of the PC tech has come in such a short time, something we often don't notice from year to year unless you are constantly upgrading your rig.

For whatever reason your channel has given me the motivation to start my own and honestly seeing this old video makes me feel that it is possible. Yes, a lot of people say it is, but sounds like shtuff when you are filimg witha 4k/8k full frame camera and have a trained/professional person to edit and actually live of your content. THIS is a boost of confidence since i can relate about doing/thinking stuff while at work and, again, makes me feel that with the right amount of effort and patience i can make it there. What fun it is to reminisce old videos. I didn't change my computer case since my Aorus X570 motherboard, Ryzen 5900X and 3080 GPU upgrade. I'm still using my Thermaltake Chaser MK-1 with an Aorus 240 all-in-one cooler without modification. This case was fully loaded with all the extras that are fading away. I used e-sata and the hot swappable drive bay a lot in the past. Having Blu-ray and DVD burner drives I was able to enjoy 3D movies and 3D Vision games. I have disconnected the 970's in SLI with tripple 1080P monitors at 120hz for a single 32" 4k display. The new cases seem expensive with so little offering to expandability. Where are we going ×ith cases after the light shows are considered pass-eh! 🇨🇦

Flip the phase on the video audio track. Get it lined up better and make tiny millisecond adjustments until it cancels out. They use this technique in recording studios when monitors bleed into the microphones. I read about Joe Satriani doing this in studio many years ago.

10 years ago, in the summer of 2013, I put together my VERY first gaming computer - with an i5-2500K and a RadeonHD 6870 in an Antec 300 PC case. I still have the computer, lovingly called "the Cougar" (P67 "Cougar Point" Intel chipset), although Skyrim is the only game I still play on it nowadays. 🙂 From a 2500K to a 5700X, and from a GTX 1650 Super to a 3070Ti - a lot has indeed changed.

I moved away 17 years ago but hearing you say the IE and then mention Victorville, so funny. I didn't live in Victorville, don't get me wrong. I did live in Yucaipa though and for over 20 years. I worked in Redlands and I was all over the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties as a teen/young adult. I remember when Ontario Mills Mall was built and opened. I went to the Central City Mall as a teen when it was hoppin before they installed the carousel and became known as The Carousel Mall in San Bernardino. Now sadly it's a shambles and deserted mall. I worked in Highland when the Rodney King Riots were happening. I saw people being assaulted in the parking lot and we had the store locked down only letting 1 customer in at a time. Disneyland had a "dance floor club" like thing you could go to and they had Samantha Foxx play there on my Grad Night while New Kids on the Block played Tom Sawyer's Island Stage (Where Fantasmic is now). Yucaipa came out of Township and became a City while I lived there. When we moved back there after being in Colorado Springs for 6 years, Yucaipa had about 27,000 people. Now it's got double that. If it could still be like it was when I was a teen/young adult and didn't become so insanely expensive to live in, I'd still be there. I still have family there though so I get back there when I can. Anyways, just the IE shout out brought back memories. Thanks!

Oh... I can't help it. I'm bringing up your list of vids and going back to the beginning. I think I discovered you in April or May of 2018 just before I last built a computer. The parts for my new machine are enroute (Prime Day just came and went). I saved money last time by not buying HDD's as I figured I would just transfer them into the new machine. Now I've saved money by not getting a case so I'll just transfer the new parts into my old case (not the original case actually, I replaced that a couple of years ago with a slightly smaller mid-size tower, my full-size Rosewill THOR V2 was so big I couldn't see the ports on top without pulling it out of the cubby). I somehow seem to build a more powerful computer every time I build, but I pay less.

I just migrated my home server out of this case two months ago. Worked great for the last 10 years. The sound dampening sure didn't make it silent, but it did help knock down the overall pitch of the noise. Was a heavy SOB though. Only reason I changed out the case was the weight to be honest. Moved to a Meshify 2. Fractal is one the last vendors supporting large HDD counts in cases. The Meshify 2 being even rarer having a solid side panel.
