I lost my dad at the beginning of the month. When my stepmom had the discussion with me about see my dad’s body for the last time, I thought of Barley. I didn’t want to live with the same mistake Barley made and live with the regret. Seeing my dad for the last time gave me closer, because unlike Barley and Ian, I don’t get the luxury of a magical visitation spell.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. I lost my cat back in 2017. I know it doesn't really sound like a huge deal, but he was really the only one there for me when I was getting emotionally abused by my 5th grade teacher, all the guys in my class bullying me, my friends avoiding me, my parents being so dependent on the school to do something that my parents didn't do a lot and basically everyone in the school thinking I was this weird and stupid kid. My cat really was the only one there to comfort me, listen to me vent and just be there for me no matter what. After he was gone, it really effected my mental health to the point that the one thing I wanted to do... was to just... kill myself. After we had to put him down, I never got to see this body again... and we never gave him the funeral we planned for him because instead of the place we decided he would be buried... he was sent to a pet cemetery in a city a couple hours away from where we live. I still miss him, even to this day when he have 2 cats... I'd give anything just to see him one last time.

I know how you feel, my grandmother died the day after Thanksgiving. I never got to say goodbye and it really effected me. So now I go to counseling it helps me cope with the sadness. I'm kinda glad I didn't say goodbye either because it would have been a traumatic experience.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel, a few months ago, I lost my mom. It just happened all of a sudden, no one saw it coming. I never got a chance to say goodbye. Worse of all, I was 17 when I first heard the news (FYI, I'm still 17). No one should have to go through this, but death, unfortunately, has to come for us all.

Barley talking about not saying goodbye to his dad really hit me. My grandma raised me, and she died of COVID in June. I did get to say goodbye to her, but she wasn't really conscious when I saw her.

I remembered watching Onward the same day on Disney+ when I was having a rough day due to my senior year being canceled from covid and this film helped made my day better by how underrated this film is. Tom Holland and Chris Pratt made the film for me alongside its beautiful animation ❤.

The one thing this movie does that a lot of these animated movies lack. Is that they actually pull through with there messages. They don’t fall back and be like “eh they were all gonna have a happy ending”. Anyway good overall. Way better than Soul in my opinion.

If there's a second 'Onward' movie I just hope that it'll involve someone setting up a rehabilitation. camp for the unicorn/pegasus horses so that they have access to food that they don't have to fight each other for it in rubbish bins and can have a chance to regrow their wings and maybe even be groomed or find some way to fix their coats and can learn to fly again and not have to hide in caves.

As a Nerd I'll admit that this movie first time seeing it reminding me of my theory that it was possible once for human to do things like this too. And magic did live side by side with us, but we stopped and we changed and started using energy and other stuff like that. But I feel that we did know magic at one point but we all stopped so we lost that abilities because we never trained or worked on it anymore.

There is something called the pixar theory that tries to explain how the pixar movies are connected. It is not official from the pixar studios, but it makes a lot of sense to me (and a lot of another people, too)
