He provided a great number of hours of raw ad-libbed lines for his role as the Genie that the creators couldn’t fit the entirety of them in the film.😅 Fortunately, there is some footage of said ad-libbed lines that weren’t used in the final cut that was released by Disney and they are hilarious!

For financial reasons, the studio went back on the deal on both counts, especially in poster art by having the Genie in 25% of the image, but having other major and supporting characters portrayed considerably smaller."

Aladdin's gotta be my favorite classic Disney movie, alongside Hercules and Atlantis The sequels (especially The Return of Jafar) do have a noticably lower quality, as was usual back then, but personally I was never bothered by that, since I also loved to watch the TV series (which has about the same quality as the second movie and is supposed to take place right after it; unfortunately Robin Williams only voices Genie in movies 1 and 3, but in my opinion Dan Castellaneta still does a great job in The Return of Jafar and the series) I'd say the sequels are worth checking out if you enjoy the characters and want to see where they go from here Also little fun fact about the series- or rather the Disney's Hercules TV series: There's an episode called Hercules and The Arabian Night which as the name suggests is a crossover between Hercules and Aladdin and while it's sadly lagging in Genie-screentime, it is a lot of fun, especially with the villain team up it gives us (chronologically it takes place after the third Aladdin movie btw)

Robin Williams improvised so many hundreds of hours of dialogue and in the original planned ending it was supposed to be where it’s revealed the merchant from the beginning of the story shows up and is revealed that it was the Genie telling the tale and even the directors confirmed this long thought theory. If you want some more outside the norm Disney films that you don’t see people react to I would recommend if you haven’t seen them: Pollyanna, Swiss Family Robinson, That Darn Cat (1965), The Absent Minded Professor and it’s sequel Son of Flubber, The Barefoot Executive, Hot Lead and Cold Feet, The Parent Trap (original and remake), The Rocketeer Fantasia, Make Mine Music, Melody Time, Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Fun facts about this movie: Robin Williams was always the number one choice to play the genie. So much so that in order to convince Robin to play Genie the animators did story boards of the genie doing Robin’s comedy to convince him to take the role. Later when recording for the movie, Robin did so much improve in the studio recording room that the animators knew they had to include it. So a lot of the stuff you see in the movie was just Robin doing improve. You should look up behind the scenes stuff for Genie ideas that were not in the film.

Me at 10 pm *sees a notification for this video on iPhone*: "Holy shit, Cody's doing a reaction for one of my top 3 favorite movies?!. I need a bigger screen, where's my Chromebook?! *frantically runs around the house looking for the Chromebook* "Haha yes, I've got it, time for an awesome video!".

Now you should watch Starkid’s Twisted. It’s a Wicked style Aladdin parody. It’s so hilarious

Aladdin "used up" his second wish when Genie helped him out of the sea, as he wished for Aladdin and by taking his "nod" as a yes, he could grant the wish. In a sense Genie "manuipulated" his master to make a wish but it's just for he wanted to save him but couldn't do it unless he wished for it, as Al was unconcious.
