it's reported that Hillary Clinton was asleep during the presidential election night of 2016, not because she was nervous, but because she was assured of her victory. After her loss it was quite unlike her to walk away, but as they say choice and bed be made.

@@mytzlplk5929 But it's a politically driven album. It's called Eat the elephant. He gotta song bout that Trump feller as well, maybe. The hourglass song is about nuclear warfare, something that almost happun with u.s. and Korean North. To me the song about Feathers (Not the Band) seems to be a call for speaking out politically instead of leaving it to the paid for opinions on cable teevee. Although A Perfect Circle is not a band who is absolutely political they have been boldly political in the past with that emotive album. I would be dipped in shit and rolled in bread crumbs if this album be about anything else.

@cikame6 жыл бұрын
It's very different to their previous work, there are some good songs on the album and this one's alright, but a lot of the tracks kind of tread water without going anywhere... to put it simply. For most other bands you could say "ok, they had an off album, hopefully the next one's better", but we really can't hope for another can we. Personally as much as i love his past music, i think Howerdel has run out of ideas, the Ashes Divide album kind of went the same way with The Stone being an absolute banger, then everything else kind of floating around with little direction.
@movimentodoscacos6 жыл бұрын
It depends. One should be happy for APC releasing new stuff and willing to change up their sound for a bit. But that doesn't mean one should like it just because of this. IMO this record is really mediocre, and I really expected better from APC.

Ares Hermes whoa whoa whoa, hold up. You had me up until you made it seem (probably unintentionally) that previous albums by APC had less meaning. This is simply inaccurate. Mer De Noms was just more of a personal perspective album Hollow, Thinking of you, Sleeping Beauty, etc... 13th step was as well with most if not all inspired by addiction and the problems it brings. This album seems geared toward our shared experience of existence.... Disillusioned is a perfect example of this...✌😁

&% I can explain: this album brings nothing new to the table, it is creative in a sense: Maynard and Billy never explored these sounds as much as they dod on this record, but that doesn't mean the sounds are new. Some songs are trip-hop-ish, some others more like classic rock/pop inspired and there's plenty of classical instrumentation in the record too. I don't see anything new or that hasn't been done better by other bands. But I'm totally fine if you guys like it, to each it's own. That being said, this record is objectively non-revolutionary and brings zero new things to music in general.

I admire this band, always have, always will. It must not be easy to pour your heart and soul into music, allow it to consume you and then send it off out into the world, either to be ravaged or adored. There is never quite an in-between. I suppose the main seed of truth lays within its initial structuring, each member of a perfect circle has provided their articulate and intelligent creative expression and so on that foundation alone its a very special album. In my view, art on any level keeps on transforming, it does so through unique interpretation and individual perspective. A perfect circle's artistic musical expression becomes ours through this wonderful transformation. I take great solace in the good seed of intention, no matter what, when this music was agreed upon and sent out into this world by the band it's initial intention was purposeful in its expression. I wholly admire that fact alone. ~X~
