APC new album reflects the mental and spiritual maturity after the turmoil, rebellion and anger. I liked the old albums and I like the new one that is totally different in its essence. It’s not angry, it consoles, it reminds us to look around and understand we’re not alone.

This album is a bit strange. I feel like I’m experiencing some sort of delayed gratification. The more I sat and listened and experienced the music on a visceral level, the more I noticed I understood and loved it. It wasn’t love at first listen, it took time, time to process and chew on it and sleep on it. A wonderful album

All truly masterful albums are like that, it takes time to understand it, to feel it, to get used to the different new sound and experimentations. Then with every listen you discover more and more and it gets better and better. Many different feeling goes through you, many interpretations many meanings you can even find very little sounds added that you hear for the first time... Amazing...

Seems like a lot of people always cloud their own personal opinions about a band's new album by letting nostalgia get in the way. There's way too many people criticizing stuff through comparison instead of looking at something as its own thing. Personally, when a band I like that I consider to have a lot of talent comes out with a new album, I'm hoping its going to sound different from their previous stuff. I don't want talent to be wasted on the same sound over and over, I wanna know what else they can do.

I am SO grateful that I got turned on to APC last year after going down the TOOL rabbit hole. Yeah I was extremely late to the party, but I was able to avoid having 14 years of baggage waiting for new tunes to be released. MJK is a picky as hell artist, and his attention to detail has never been lacking. The people that he works with are equally talented in the same sense, and they are all 100% in tune with each other while playing a set. These dudes know exactly what they are doing here, and they know exactly what they wanted out of this album. Maynard is showing off his wide range of vocals within the tracks, and his emoting with the phrasing has only been sharpened with age. He knows his limits, and sticks to them. Billy has most likely had some of these tunes underneath his hat for some time now, and I'm sure it was no easy feat to rework them to what they are here. The writing in this whole album is being interpreted every which way, but if you step outside yourself getting the message is fairly easy. The writing is slightly cryptic as always, but if you have been following the MJK/ TOOL/APC/ Puscifer train for the past year or two then everything leading up to this makes a lot more sense. Go back, and listen very carefully to interviews with Maynard in his 50s. There's something special to learn here folks. I showed up for the insights, and the wonderful vibes that this music provides. I did not show up because my expectations of what a 14 year sequel may sound like. The lyrics in this very song blatantly state: No time to coddle you. So figure it out for yourself what all of this means, and in the process support the musicians, and learn something productive about yourselves.

This is by FAR, the most important album Maynard has ever been a part of. Mature, conscious, and full of light for the world at crucial time in our evolution, or lack thereof. It may not be what most "fans" are used to, but innovators are always ridiculed. People will be forced to open their eyes wide for this. The album transcends music and art, with some of the most important spiritual messages that so desperately need to be heard. I highly encourage people to share the album with loved ones, and "walk them through it" if necessary. Much love

I'm just now getting into A Perfect Circle and have now completed their four studio albums. I suppose for long-time fans who weight the old albums greater, the evolution is disappointing. But to judge this band as four albums at once, it's quite a cool progression they've made and I'm glad I didn't listen to four albums of the same stuff over and over. I want bands to build a sound and then see how far that sound can go, and it's been a pleasure listening to APC's work.
