Lets talk. This is an informal chit -chat for friends who join us on our journey to be prepared for the worst while we hope for the best. I had a visit from Katzcradul I share and talk about a few things people ask me about all the time. Come, visit, and stay a while.

Deb I lost my old channel. Don't know if you will remember me. You were one of the originals that helped me so much in 2012 when I first started prepping. You got me with your meals-in-a-jar series. Loving your channel. I recently started prepping after my husband had a 2 1/2 yr layoff from the recession. I have always stocked up with couponing etc, but I lost a lot of food due to freezer burn and spoilage. I wanted to learn how to properly store food for longer periods of time and found you. I have learned so much. I am canning again which I haven't done in years with the exception of jams and jellies. Now I am stocking up for long term. I took that dehydrator out and Im using it daily. I have taken up extreme couponing to get preps. Many personal care items and healthcare needs can be gotten for free or to make extra rewards to buy things you need. This helps to free up money for other preps. This year on top of helping out 8 families I was already able to donate over 40 thousand dollars of merchandise to shelters, military and other orgs. It has been a total blessing. I learned it all from youtube.

Thanks for all your videos. I have been prepping for probably 30 years. I started when my children were small but back then i just called it stocking up for hard times. LOL Who knew. Keep up the great work. It has been a joy to watch you, Katzcradle and many of the others. Back when I started learning all this there was no one around to ask how to do alot of this. It was all by the seat of my pants that I taught myself, but thank goodness we now have many willing to share thier knowledge.

What a great video,thank you. Like you I'd love to meet all the ones who are teaching me. I'd love to give them a hug and thank them in person. Lucky you that you had that experience. And like you I too know that God has a plan for all of this. I'm not worried though I do get butterflies from time to time. My husband is still not on board BUT he is now tolerating me doing what I'm doing. So a little at a time. A little here, a little there. We will get thru this. Thanks Deb. Love ya!

Yes, we need this now more than ever. Loose cannons and mouths put us in horrible situations in 2017. In my lifetime I haven’t seen such a terrible time as it is right now in 2017! Thanks for the vids. Hope you do more. I have started doing this since February of this year. Thank you!

Today is Sept 1st 2016 and I truly believe every word you say!!! My husband and I have been prepping. He warns the neighbors who totally ignore him and don't believe anything will happen. When it happens because of him telling people to stockpile they will probably all be knocking on my door wanting all of my stuff. I got a great deal of 4 lbs of boneless chicken thighs for $3.75 each which I bought them all and canned them. Wish I could have seen them in the beginning when they had a lot more for that price. Have been canning a lot of meat since all my vegetables and fruit from the summer are already canned. I appreciate all of your videos. Thank you very much!!!

Atta girl Deb nice open chat. Someone asked me what a prepper was,how I defined them ? A prepper to me, is someone whom has accumulated various skills. Lets call them LIFE SKILLS for lack of a better word. Wether they are canning food,putting in a garden,trapping or hunting, and fishing,blacksmithing,sewing,health care, or even,just a good scrounger. You have to be an asset in this world, not a lialibity. Even collecting books,makes you an asset.Everyone has a talent,it might be in hiding!

Funny, cooking is my therapy also. It relaxes me. I too have been cooking non-stop for a month or so. The neighbors love it. I drop off dinners, (they jokingly call me meals on wheels.) I appreciate Fuzzy too. He is a very smart man. I am on a very tight budget but I always manage to pick up 1 or 2 things on my "I need" list. Funny that you mention walking. I started that a few weeks ago.Considering that I haven't walked in years, I surprised myself and I enjoy it. Enjoyed the chat. Love ya Deb

I am sorry for the loss of the job, but I am happy it got you back to prepping. I have heard of so many stories on freezers going out and people loosing all their food. In a SHTF, I do not want to be worried about canning while I am trying to secure our location. Keep on prepping and please write anytime.

My faith in Jesus Christ keeps me from fear of the SHTF. My dear Jesus has always protected me from harm in emergencies, and there have been many occasions! I live in the palm of His hand at all times by watching my acts and thoughts to follow His Word because I love Him more than my present life! If I die, then I count it all joy to die for the cause of Christ! Therefore, I do not live in fear! Praise Jesus!

Keep up the good work ! I subscribe to your videos, and want you to know that I have been prepping for years! I started back in 1998 and some sooner. Felt compelled by God to do it. I know it sounds corny but it is true. I am in a mobility chair and still prepping, thanks to my husband and son. They are a big help; so if I can do it anyone can do it. I am 71 years old and live on social security and have to take care of my son and his son as they fell on hard times. Everyone can do it.

And yes, walking is one of the easiest exercises and all endeavors begin with just one step :) Being a bus-rider seems to help me -- more walking and always wearing a backpack loaded w/whatever on my way home. The bus gives me respite from inclement weather, usually a place to sit, and a chance to see my surroundings without needing to concentrate on traffic, potholes, pedestrians or finding a parking space. Get a day pass and try it sometime :) {{hugs}}

Even if it's just filling up a water bottle and setting it aside, I make sure to do these kinds of simple things every day.

Wish you all were here in Canada...I am not far from and have actually had the honor of meeting Norm from My green home as he is only about 1 1/2 hours from me, Mrs. Volfie is a few provinces to my right so we will not likely meet...You are right though, we are all a community even through the distance.Today I am canning turkey soup and some salsa, tomorrow mom & make a winter supply of cabbage rolls....I try to do something daily also...take care and know you are respected and loved

Thank you for all you do & for the peace I feel when I watch your videos. It is terrifying to witness what is being done to our beautiful country. Jesus is my Savior so I am not afraid to die but worry about my family. My Granddaughter is a Freshman in college with her whole life ahead of her & these people intend to ruin that for her. I'm doing the best I can. Money is very tight. We are raising our grandson and we aren't as young as we use to be. So I worry "A LOT! " I have done some canning, a lot of dehydrating, putting things in Mylar and buckets. Picking up a few medical. We are in the process of putting things in a secure place. That is important. Gets very cold here so we have made alternate heating arrangements. I worry about the heat in the summer as well. You take care, can't wait for another video. Love to you.

This made me order my dehydrator and oxygen absorbers! So much stuff is going down. I'm unemployed and need to get hay for the horses and goats this winter but we feel such a need to get prepared and soon. I have a lot of friends who have told me if stuff hits the fan they are bugging out to my house so I want to be prepared for if this DOES happen. These are all friends that would work even harder than I do so I would not turn them off of my homestead. But I want to have enough for me and them.

I have to agree that most people are good people; not good all of the time but good. If the shtf it will bring out the worst people at first because we will be full of fear and won't trust anyone.
