Use your food storage to make your family happy in hard times. This cake is sure to put a smile on a face and a warm feeling in their heart. After the initial shock of SHTF, people will need comfort. Nothing says comfort like cake.

Another great video.. I can't express how important it is to have the preps in your foodstorage to make something sweet.. its comfort food and during a SHTF scenario it will help bring spirits up in kids and adults! Thanks Bev, for showing new preppers especially that they can do it! Have a wonderful day.. and thanks again for the info you sent! Blessings!

You posted this just one day before my 47th B-day and seem to do a lot of things the way my late grandmother used to. Thank you for this.

Since my birthday is the end of the week I think I will try this with our preps! We've had adult children with wives and children of their own move home due to getting out of the military and unable to find a job so we are currently using some of our preps. Greatful we have them when the paychecks don't quite cover a trip to the grocery store. Can't wait to try this..... thanks for posting videos that show it can really be done! You are an angel and inspiration!

I believe these are the ingredients: ½ c ghee 6 T egg powder & 9 T water 1 c sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 c flour 2 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt ¾ reconstituted milk 350 degrees for 35 minutes Check for doneness with toothpick Let it cool if you can LOL I would put all the dry ingredients in a jar and then add the liquid when making the cake. Don't forget to add the directions. ===== TO MAKE GHEE: The water and milk solids are removed making it healthier to eat. This will last without refrigeration for a long time. Put UNsalted butter in a baking dish for AROUND 2-3 hours in a 250 degree oven (You can mix salted and unsalted if you so desire) Buy the BEST butter you can. You will see stuff come to the top (SOME butters produce a lot of foam at the top - you can skim it off) and you will see the milk solids drop to the bottom Strain it with cheesecloth folded in 4 ways into jars

Nothing is better than a homemade cake. Come to think of it, nothing is better than anything homemade, unless it my cooking. I can bake up a storm, but my cooking leaves a lot to be desired! LOL It is edible, but definitely not my mom's or my grandma's cooking.

My Mom always topped with butter while hot as after school snack. All the kids in neighborhood hit our house. Kind of like an parade through front door, through house to kitchen table, get huge piece hot cake, out back door. None of them ever had a piece of hot cake. How sad! God bless.

The sad thing is they really believe what they are saying. That's just human nature. Its the mind set of , "I'll tackle the problem when it comes up". Unfortunately 90% of the population will be trying to survive on the backs of the 10% that actually tried to do something. That will be the real test. What will each of us do?
