I watched both movies in a theater. I've seen about 5 movies in theaters in recent months but I go to a smaller boutique chain that is very well maintained. Only about 18 people per theater and you're spaced out. Each theaters has about 3-4 attendants, so I have felt very comfortable. The food and drinks are pricey but worth it

I went to A Quiet Place Part II twice. The first time at a Cinemark on Thursday night and I was completely alone with me and my friends. It was a great experience because my group was able to scream without bothering anyone else or each other. The second round was today and alone at my local AMC that's within walking distance of my house. It was quite crowded and unfortunately many people went without their masks because my state dropped the mast mandate. I'm fully vaccinated, so I wasn't as concerned as I would have been otherwise. Overall though it was great to return to the theatres. Everyone had a good time and both times the movie got a standing ovation.

I admit, the spin-off show sounds like it's going to be very underwhelming. Part of the charm of the movies is the mystery slowly getting solved. Streaming shows........ have to say/do/reveal a lot, episode after episode, etc. It could cheapen the brand... 😐 Lastly, do you think they'll have a family who also does ASL sign language? NO! Boo! We need that amazing representation for hearing-impaired! It's done so well in this movie!

It’s definitely gonna make bank, but the HBOMax day-and-date strategy is going to severely hurt its bottom line along with Space Jam 2. Space Jam 2 is also a legacy sequel to a one-off film that has had a huge cult following that’s over 20 years old. Historically, those have not made a billion dollars at the box office. Look at TRON: Legacy’s box office numbers, for example. The Batman is now coming out in 2022. There’ll almost certainly be another billion dollar film before then.

Dropping the mask mandate is backed up by science and the right thing to do. I could go further into it or get my wife, who is a medical professional and one of her jobs is as a clinical instructor teaching infection control, but I won’t do that. Instead look up the peer reviewed research conducted by MIT researchers. If you still want to wear a mask go ahead but according to actual science it’s not going to do much for you other than give you a sense of security. But hey do what works for you.

I went for the first time since the start of the pandemic and I asked one of the theater workers if there was a mask mandate in the theater because snacks were being sold, their response: “I don’t know.” I walk into the theater to find that no one was wearing their masks. The theater was also pretty packed... people were separated but there were still quite a number of people there. I wouldn’t have gone if I wasn’t vaccinated

I saw Cruella, Lucifer, and Army of the Dead this weekend (it rained alot in my area). I would not go back to theaters just yet. Infact, I am trying to wait and see the safety numbers in 2 weeks as someone like Disney should also. I LOVED Cruella but my son didn't. And as far as Blunt being Sue Storm- she said she doesn't want it unless they do something extra special with the material citing the superhero market is flooded at this point. Hope Feige doesn't go too young because they are supposed to be accomplished scientists worthy of the research in space. Can't wait to see you at the Watch Along for Cruella!

The theater was incredibly clean, everyone was socially distanced apart and expect for one cell phone going off for just a second, the experience was incredible!! I watched a Quiet Place Part II in theaters. The AMC staff was really nice. I was a couple of minutes late to my seats because I was buying snacks. A couple of girls where sitting in my spots. Did people forget that we are in a pandemic? I have my two shots of the vaccine, but I do not care. People should respect the reserved sitting. I think we’re seeing the pent up pandemic frustrations at the movies ect. I work at a grocery store and it’s unusually busy even for pre-COVID. Once, the hype wears off there will be a low I think. If the movies studios can pull off some epic NEW movies ( NO MORE REMAKES! Please for the love of god!) And, then the the theatre’s will have to pull out all the stops to get us in the habit of going to the movies again. Or, maybe not.......

Y'know what? it IS a notable spike in Box Office. 💯 Can't deny that. Showtimes have sold out & tripled to meet demand. I saw A Quiet Place 2 on Friday and it was packed. SO FUN playing the quiet game with an audience at the movie theater! Irreplaceable experience. Welcome back to moviegoing! (My condolences to anyone who's theaters are closed 😔)

John Krazinski did a top-tier job with Quiet Place 2-- one of the best movie openings I have seen in a long time. Some parts of the movie even gave me Mel Gibson "Signs". The opening itself made me long for John and Emily as Reed and Sue, maybe with John directing or cowriting on the script.

I am glad WB is still releasing things on HBOMAX. Where I am from a combination of masks/social distancing seeming to be a thing of the past and vaccine rates being so low just doesn't make me comfortable enough to attend movie theaters. I am just glad I will be able to watch things like Dune right away instead of having to wait for it to become available to rent.

I'm definitely seeing Black Widow in theaters. Streaming new movies isn't the same experience as going to the theaters.

The cinemas are closed in Trinidad and Tobago. We are on extreme lockdown. Curfew and all. I keep watching over Shadow and Bone. It is awesome.

I'm glad that Cruella was digital. Theaters are still closed here in Manitoba (I think 90% of Canadian theaters are still closed) so I am already upset I missed out on A Quiet Place 2, but I appreciate Disney even more for being there for people who can't go to a theater. This really hurt my opinion of Paramount.

you can probably thank 1/4 to 1/3 of all the weekend's boxoffice to the rain weather that battered mid-Atlantic and Northeast (including a top market NYC)...otherwise many would have been travelling or outside doing other things or at the beach. If it rains, one looks for inside entertainment...so if your theater is open and safe, you are going to the movies to kill two hours..no matter what is showing.

Both Quiet Place 2 and Cruella are open here in New Zealand so I can't wait to see them on the Big screen as always, Covid-19 free.
