As a dees fan I will always love this bloke and couldn’t be happier he’s crushing it at gws. People just don’t realise how special this guys talent is. Kicked 44 or something stupid in his first year and lead the league in contested marks in his first year

The Dees deserted the guy when they NEEDED to support him. His dad died, he had cancer AND THE DEES DESERTED HIM. Not nice ... but also stupid because they've needed a player exactly like him at full forward for several years. How could a club desert a guy whose dad died and the guy has cancer??? Treated him like crap when he needed support

He was amazing at Melbourne, and it was such a shame to see him leave there. It all made sense, and I think most Dees fans are thrilled to see him back playing great footy and doing well.

Coming from a Freo fan I’m really happy for him. As soon as he got to Freo the WA media picked on him, and while he did make some poor choices, anything he did got slammed by the media. No wonder he underperformed on field. So glad he was able to reach his full potential at the giants and play the footy we know he can play.

I’m still newish to the sport, but seems like forwards are not really valued in the mvp award? Mainly mids or is that just recently?
@worker-wf2em4 ай бұрын
Pretty much. Umps spend most their time around the contest where the mids do their work racking up possessions. Forwards like Hogan don’t get noticed unless they kick a bag. It’s even worse for defenders. McGovern made the AA as a full back yet didn’t poll a single Brownlow vote

@@worker-wf2em yeah that was gonna be the next thing I asked about ; top defenders like May, Moore (not this year) Taylor, Weitering I think had a nice year etc I never hear them mentioned either I do get the disposals stats rack up in the middle but those lock down back defenders seem super important. The good teams have them the bad teams don’t. But some bad teams have nice midfielders
