Oh my goodness Heather! That is horrible! Maybe look into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in regards to the service you used. Hopefully she won't try to retaliate. You may need to also look into getting a restraining order against her. Stay safe. Have a blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving.

I would suggest you have a lawyer review your contract with the renter investigation company, find out your total costs for getting rid of the renter, and then see if you can successfully sue that company to recover the costs they caused you to incur.

Lawyers aren't cheap, certainly try the better business bureau. The 5 days no sleeping then crashing sound like meth. Thanks Heather, a cautionary tale for sure. Be sure you don't take what happened personally.

Thank you for honesty and alerting us. May I offer a piece of wisdom? We had a bad situation with a person who wracked up thousands of dollars of traffic tickets using my daughter car. We wanted to cut ties with this man. My husband and I paid the tickets to free ourselves and our daughter from any continued involvement with him. He is now bless fully out of our lives and the money spent on the traffic tickets is worth it. So I am suggesting not pursuing Sally legally for compensation for items she ruined. Let it go and be free of her.♥️

That is so hard Heather! It is MORE than our average amount of stress. Bipolar disorder can look like meth addiction, if she lost her job she may have stopped her medication. Either way,it is a trauma to be experiencing this and I hope you can rest easy now. Love to you.

omgeeeeeee!!!! That's not a STORY! That's a horror movie!! Whatever the cause of her change in thinking and behavior, it sounds like a potentially very dangerous situation for everyone involved. Thank goodness that your son was there to work through this situation with you, especially since there was very little help from law enforcement. So sorry to hear that you were going through such a scary experience. I hope that "Sally" gets the help that she desperately needs, and I hope that you and your family enjoy even greater thankfulness on this day for having this nightmare behind you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Heather.

Wow, Heather that really was a nightmare! I really appreciate you sharing your scary story with us. Sadly I was raised by a mother who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and the episodes began with accusations that family members or friends were doing something malicious to her and she could not be convinced otherwise. It was a roller coaster ride for my father and I as you can imagine. But I think it's very likely that your roommate has this condition. Of course drugs could have been involved but would not have been necessary with this illness. My mother was prescribed antipsychotic medication but continually stopped taking it so the illness was never defeated sadly, until she died at 93. I hope that Sally ultimately gets and accepts the professional help she needs but I wish peace and relief for you and Joe, dear friend. Much love and a Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!

Happy things came out well for you. I have had room renters before and all of them have been family or friends of friends. So far I have had good luck!!! The worst thing for me was people using toxic cleaning products and toxic smelling personal care products. This is nothing compared to your experiences. Have a happy Thanksgiving and God bless you and Joe!!

Yikes how incredibly stressful. Knowing that you are such a caring person it must have been such a difficult time. I am thankful that you, your son and fur babies came to no harm and that situation has been resolved and hopefully she gets the help she needs. Thanking God you are safe! I do think it sounds like a mental break of some sort, She was exhibiting classic paranoia! So sorry you had to go through all of that! Take that service to court so they don't keep putting people in danger. They put you, your family and your home in danger! Bless Sally I hope she finds her way out of the darkness. Bless you I can tell this experience really created some fear for you! Not all roomies are like that, but take some time to feel secure before you reconsider. We have a room mate because we need one and luckily so far so good.. I hope you feel secure & serene soon! You need to rest, rejuvenate and seek guidance.. Take care beautiful

Oh my goodness Heater, that is a nightmare !! I have never lived with anyone who wasn't family, or husband. But, no wonder u are stressed. Glad u guys made it thru without getting hurt. & that the pets came back home, PTLord. I don't know how u managed that long. You are such a caring person !! I don't have any suggestions, about that company, but i agree u should do something. How would she afford drugs, if out of work? or pay the rent to you ? I think probably this pandemic will go into 2021. I love u too, i wait for your vids to upload. I am finding my stress levels are lower when eating this clean WFPB SOFAS free, way of eating. I don't have ANYTHING near THAT stress tho, but hubby only works 2 wks a month, oldest daughter & sister mad at me & not speaking to me since mid Aug., all bc i am scared to get the virus, with my compromised health issues. & now, cases are increasing again, warnings not to shop in Halifax area, shop in own town or online. The thing about online is, if things don't fit , etc., then the bother of returning. Oh well, time will tell, Take care hon, know that my prayers are being sent & cyber hugs coming xoxo all lives matter ❤️💪🏾❤️🙏🏾💪❤️ ❤️👍🏻🙏🏻💙❤️💪 PLANT STRONG 🥦🍠🌽🥬🍅🥒🧄🥕 L❤️VE 💋 there is magic in them there veggies & fruit !! hehe but it's true !! ❣️❌⭕️

Is there anyway to get her stuff out of your house? I would think that eventually she'll come back to get it, and if so, what frame of my mind will she be in? I wouldn't let her across the threshold without a police presence.

Heather, I am so sorry that you and your family had to go through this. I had a similar situation in that just over 20 years ago I was living and working in Toronto as a chef. I needed a roommate and had a male coworker of mine rent the second bedroom off of me. It was fine for a while, he was a good guy we had lots of great talks and lots of laughs, and then he got laid off and split with his girlfriend pretty much within a week of each other. Soon after there were a little piles of beer cans that would surround his chair and he spent a lot of time in his room. We lived right downtown and before too long I noticed he started bringing girls home. Girls that I was pretty sure I had seen standing on our street corner if you know what I mean. Then he started sleeping a lot, the girls and the alcohol continued. Like you I abhor smoking. And the one hard and fast rule was no smoking in my home. One day when I become increasingly worried (as like you, the door was left unlocked, there was a disgusting mess left on my toilet seat one day, and the girls and the booze), I went into his room and found one of my side plates that had been used as an ashtray for obviously a while, and one of my glasses had been converted into something that looked like it was being used as a bong. And it did not smell like marijuana. Long story short, I called the police and asked for their advice because I didn’t want to get in trouble with the fact that hookers and drugs were being brought into my home and I was scared for my safety (and that of my cat and my things) as well. I also had a few pieces of jewellery go missing. It was enough for me to tell him that I had called the police and asked about what to do, that when I asked him to leave he left. Sadly a few months after that (and after some veiled threats to me on his part as well), he was found floating in a pond in the middle of High Park in Toronto. They never found out what happened to him, and I was devastated at the loss of a young 26-year-old man’s life and a friendship that was ruined because of drugs and mental health, but I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t relieved. Bottom line, mental health is not something to be taken lightly, and you did what you had to do and saved yourself a bunch of grief and possibly much more in the process.

I'm so glad to hear you're not doing a roommate I do not believe in roommates you live according to what you can live in if you can't live in your big beautiful house you sell it and you move into an RV do not do roommates you are so protected by the Lord you know she could have killed you stabbed you you don't know it is so dangerous thank goodness your son lives with you this was horrible truly truly scary thank goodness you have a job that you were able to function and keep your job and your house and everything I would get a lawyer and sue the company but sometimes it cost more money to get a lawyer than what you're going to get anyway so who knows Heather you could do a civil suit so you can get back your money and the company should pay for it cuz they give you false information so they really should be held accountable

I found this video very difficult and had to stop watching. I love KZbin and I vlog but I never discuss anyone else’s personal affairs as they are not my business to air. I feel for you Heather, this was an awful time for you and for Joe but, I don’t need to know this lady’s business. I didn’t get as far as your weight loss result and I do hope that this whole affair didn’t give you an excuse to eat. For many years I ate over every eventuality in my life. Be it good, bad or indifferent. I just needed something to justify my greed. As a person who has lost around 13 st, I can’t afford to do that now or I won’t stay slim for long. My home had a burst water main pipe this week, I sorted the problem and didn’t eat over it. That’s a massive step forward for me. I do hope ‘Sally’ as you called her is being taken care of now. If it was Meth, that’s another addiction and we both know that we didn’t choose to be addicted to food. It it was a mental health issue then my heart goes out to her.. I’m glad you and Joe are both safe. If your house got full of smoke, maybe invest in serious smoke alarms. Take it steady Heather, we never know what life is going to throw in our direction. Stay safe. Jane xx

Now wait a minute, no way is good addiction comparable to meth. All that behavior is attributable to meth, nobody does those things because of food. So if you didn't like what you were hearing, why'd you keep listening? Thanks again Heather, this could be life saving for a lot of us.
