No GPS, no course markings, no idea when it will start, no phones, no help, no trail. The Barkley Marathons is an endeavor very few will ever attempt and even fewer will complete. More than 1000 people have attempted to finish all five loops, only 14 have succeeded. Gary Robbins managed to start the fifth and final loop in 2016 but sleep deprivation caused him to throw in the towel. He returns to attempt The Barkley again in 2017. This project will document his journey. Stay tuned.
