Indeed it did. Tell me of another hydrocodone addict and sufferer of chronic pain that would give his last two Vicodin to a friend in need. Wilson would be the only person on the planet to whom House would make such a sacrifice. And willing to spend substantial time in prison in the event that Wilson died of a botched procedure performed outside of a hospital setting. Before this episode, I had often pondered the authenticity of the friendship between House & Wilson. After all, Greg House is an antisocial addict who is known manipulating others to serve his own wants. This episode sealed it for me. True friendship.

House and Wilson have the sweetest, funniest relationship here lol... slightly morbid and dark, but sweet and comedic. "If things go wrong, I just want you to know..." "If you're going to say you've always been secretly gay for me, everyone always just kinda assumed it." "I just want you to know that I appreciate the risk you're taking... pumping a human being full of lethal chemicals in your living room. If I die, it probably won't go over well with your probation officer." "That's not going to be an issue." "I'm glad at least one of us is confident." "Not me... I've already identified a couple of spots to dump your body if this goes south..." "Well, I've always enjoyed Trinity Park." "It does have nice access to the lake."

@BudoThePaladin
@BudoThePaladin 3 жыл бұрын
@@afonsodeportugal i dont disagree, but just pointing out that middle ground is what people want or strive for, not that there is a concrete middle ground for everything. It's all how society as a whole has built it up to be or however each individual prefers it. I have friends who aren't as extreme as House but somewhat towards that level of personality, and I prefer it that way. The conversations are almost always original, stimulating, and at the end when things get serious they are there. People who follow social norms aren't always going to be the preferred person, they are just someone you can always be comfortable around no matter the mood. I personally am able to morph into whatever vibe or personality I see that is fitting in a group or with another individual, just as experimentation when I go towards truth and logic somewhat similar to House when he converses with others there is a low amount of people who are willing to put up with it. This stems to people wanting to be left alone to however they are and whatever choices they make and rationalize. Some think their rationalizations are justified and some know of its flaws and are content with their choices, the ones who are the 2nd tend to be more comfortable dealing with someone like House. That's my opinion though and it's fine if you feel otherwise, I just don't find much interest in people who tend to do a lot of things to just be socially acceptable, especially if there is any deviation.

I got pissed off at Wilson for not trying again having seen house asking him to trying again after he agreed to trying again. Until I remembered this scene. Dude binged a keg of chemo. House's rant here, gave us gravity on Wilson's risk for this first round. House knew this alone was risky. That's why Wilson got mad at him in the car later because House would rather he tried chemo to death than be alone at all.

I have seen the final stages first hand when visiting a friend, the hospital was swamped & this lady was laying opposite my friend & coughing violently, suddenly she started gagging & jolting in her bed & vomited up what I can only describe as a fountain of blood before passing away. To be honest its not the worst thing I have seen in my life.

my mother had stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma of the rectum and she underwent chemo and radiotherapy concurrently for 2 months. radiation 15 minutes per day 5 days a week, and a bag of fluorouricil which was given through a stent and lasted one week. and the worst side effects were severe watery diarrhea, chronic fatigue (even after just 10-15 minutes walking, 1st degree burns on her abdomen which blistered due to the radiation, thrush, and the 5 bowel obstructions (which occurred 3 and 1/2 yrs after the radiation treatment) which resulted in her having to wear an ostomy bag for the rest of her life.
