@@flemaster12 that's not true. That's a lie you tell yourself to avoid any kind of self reflection. It's one thing to be honest, it's another thing to look for flaws in people and point them out. If you're losing friends because of your honesty it's nothing to do with being like house, it's to do with being mean to people because of your own insecurities. It's possible to be brutally honest with people and still be a great friend. Look at the clip - House isn't nice to Wilson, he's kind. He doesn't say nice things but he goes to the mental hospital with him. If you put the effort in and you're there when people need you they'll overlook (and maybe even respect) the honesty. Honesty also goes two ways - if you're only pointing out negative things then you aren't being honest, you're being edgy. If you honestly compliment somebody when they earn it they'll appreciate your opinion about negative things.

"I thought seeing him again would change everything. It would be wonderful or terrible. Instead, we're just strangers. It's kind of anti-climatic." I remembered when I broke off with my past friends (one of them my ex); and in that time frame, I decided to work on myself: I worked out, studied hard, did good things. And when I met them again, a few years later, I genuinely thought that maybe we'd all hang out again, and maybe I'd reconnect with my ex. But no; we talked for a bit, and when the time was late, went home back to our separate ways. I resonated with Wilson here; I thought things would change after that event, but no. Turns out, everyone moved on, and I didn't. I lost a chunk of my life living out of spite, and sitting here now, I don't think it was worth it.
